My answer is "maybe, in certain situations".

Firm opinions are also the most brittle.

It's a subjective question.

I was just in a clicking mood.

I had a good idea for a perfect poll the other day. A reputable polling company puts together a list of 10 issues they want to get information on, such as the president's approval rating, people's position on health care reform, Afghanistan, etc. The company comes up with 5 different ways to word each question. Then, they conduct the poll over a short time period with a large sample size, rotating between the options so that they ask each person just one of the versions of each question.

I think it would be a great way to get a concrete look at how different wordings affect the way people respond, without any of the noise that we currently encounter in trying to compare those things across sampling methodologies or companies.

Interesting results so far. Talk about a uniform distribution. It doesn't get much cleaner than that.

This "poll" is about as vague as possible.
IMO, as opinionated young and old fools generally participate in these, usually silly things, the results are dubious at best.....
Polls tent to be too controlling..
If only more people could sit down and just respectfully talk and exchange ideas, on a one to one basis..

I picked ALL the options. I'm bipolar. LOL.
