Racism will exist eternally.. as long as fear / jealousy / anger exists.

It's a human condition... if it's not white on black, black on white, brown on white, etc... it will be some other reason.... left handed people on right handed people.

It's unfortunate, that's the way humans are.

Sure in some form it probably will, but long gone in our country are the days of slavery, weekend lynchings, and institutional racism.

It would be outright silly to say laws and programs like AA didn't help greatly.

Whether it's time to end these programs can be debated honestly, but I still know of places here in the south where a black person stands little chance of getting hired at.

Racism isn't "slavery, weekend lynchings"... sorry, but that's a whole 'nother topic.. and if you wanna go there, maybe you should start with the African slave traders who made it possible for Slaves to be sold in the first place... Maybe you should take a peek at the STILL EXISTING slave trade in Africa.

I don't buy the whole big bad white man bull****.

That still doesn't address the disparity in racial composition. We need the NFL to be more representative of America. White people deserve the same chance as blacks to play professional football. Black men's inherent physical superiority affords them an unfair physical advantage over whites. This must be rectified.

That is blatantly racist and sexist statement. I have a good mind to report you.

Hilarious... golden.:)

I think that we should stop indoctrinating black kids into thinking they have three options, welfare, drug dealing, or professional sports. That's just me.

can students who attend sub par schools receiving a sub par education compete for the same university spots as those students attending superior schools?

Maybe, maybe not, but it doesn't relegate them to the welfare roles, either. I went to a sub par school that's literally in the middle of the Louisiana piney woods. Today, I own five businesses. Nothing stopped me from doing what I wanted to do.

That's a racist comment.

No, it's not. I read that as tongue in cheek. Even literally, she would have been making the point that they aren't good enough, not that they are kept out based on the color of their skin.

You forgot music. ;)

Seriously, who is indoctrinating kids this way? The liberal teachers?

The liberal teachers that voted for the biracial President? Please.

I imagine Thurgood Marshall gets covered more in history classes than Run DMC, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Larry Allen do.

Doesn't this mean that indoctrination would prevent someone from achieving this?

:rofl I read that and I was like "Rob Johnson? WTF?"

I knew you meant Brad, though, but I had to mention that the statistical comparisons actually favor McNabb.

If we think about what Limbaugh said, I believe he wanted to make it seem like he knew more about football than he really did, but to do it in a controversial way.

If anything, McNabb has totally proven Limbaugh wrong. McNabb's stats this year are almost gaudy now that he apparently has 3 legit weapons to throw to (Brent Celek, DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin.) He's going to eclipse 30,000 total yards within two weeks barring injury, which is no small feat. He's currently 33rd all-time in passing yards.

For being an injury prone QB, McNabb's stats are off the chart.

Pro sports being about the closest thing to a meritocracy we'll ever see........

Of course you read it that way. However, replace, "white boys", with, "black boys", and you're going to read it as racist. I'm already aware of the Liberal hypocrisy.

happens all the time. Saw it all my life. Anyone that doesn't believe it is in denial of what goes on in the real world.

Yes, it does.

Black boys need to step up their hockey game.

Just think of what Thurgood Marshall, Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell, Condi Rice, and Barak Obama could have become if this weren't the case.

Yes, it does.

I believe I misspoke there.

So you don't own 5 businesses because you indoctrinated to welfare, rap, and sports?

Oh, so since they didn't fall into the same trap, the trap doesn't exist? Are you real?

I wasn't raised to believe that the only options that I had were, welfare, dealing drugs, or professional sports. Please keep it straight. Also, I wasn't raised to believe that, "whitey", owed me something. If you think that culture doesn't exist, then you're certainly naive as to what's going on in the world.

well if you want the level of the sport to drop this is an excellent idea.

Oh, so since they didn't fall into the same trap, the trap doesn't exist? Are you real?

Life is full of traps for people of all races. You made it sound like Guidance Counselors across the nation were telling kids that their only hope was a good hustle.

Oh, so it's the parent's responsibility? But I thought you were blaming the schools.

Perhaps the failings lie within the culture where the family has broken down.

Are you really going to use the term "whitey" when we all know how you would react to "darkie" being used?
