Does anyone here really doubt that some very sinister activities were carried out by the Bush Administration? (Even with good intentions, crimes are still crimes)

Let me reword your sentence that prevents me from being in the negative position.

"Does anyone here believe the Bush Administration acted honorable and did not carry out sinister activities."

Answer: Yes.

They defined torture in a very narrow manner. The CIA followed that definition.

Why is "he did his best" an option? That doesn't state how well you think he did...

It's a non-committal charitable response that apparently expressed the feelings of several people.

Re: Who here still likes George W Bush?

Just heading out but I'll repeat this little logical syllogism for you since you're new:

Wateboarding is a war crime for which others have been tried...even by the U.S.

Bush & Cheney admitted to authorizing waterboarding of prisoners

THEREFORE....GW Bush & Dick Cheney are war criminals.
Only thing missing is sentencing if they formally enter guilty pleas....... or a trial if they change & decide to try to deny it.
(this is something that Cheney can't get another deferment of & GW can't get his daddy to help him run away from)

you ought to go up and try to arrest one of them

We will laugh when we read about what the Secret Service guys did to you

I think the evidence..... as it stands right now is enough to prove a crime was committed. Further evidence is what would solidify the gravity of the crimes & the need for prosecution. (to prove a crime I mean simply convincing a jury that a crime has been committed.....& who committed it.(which is all our legal system ever needs to do)

what causes this level of stage four BDS?

seriously?

I know quite a few of them & I think they would more than happy to help me ....& we would put the cuffs on real tight! ;)

"Bush Derangement Syndrome"

(Coined by Charles Krauthammer. )

Who is the smartest opinion journalist out there, IMHO.

Yea.....I guess that's something for you guys to be real proud of eh?
(personally.....I prefer to study the collective wisdom of the 3 stooges but that's just me)

Jim Lehrer > *

You don't expect them to even know who he is, right?
(They probably think he's Joe The Plumber's ....electrician friend..."Lehrer Electric");)

I personally didn't harbor the feelings of animosity that many held for President Bush. I felt that he actually tried to make too many people happy. Many libertarian minded conservatives considered him a liberal, so right there he already lost points, and lets face it, no liberal was going to like him, period.

The amount of hatred for the man during the last eight years was completely unfounded and made me realize just how ****ing hateful and retarded people can be.

Case in point, people claiming he should be tried for war crimes, yet Congress is the one who voted to authorize this war. It blows my mind how seemingly intelligent people lose the ability for rational thought when it comes to Bush.

The US is not an oligarchy or monarchy, the president nor his administration have the power to authorize a war, period.

I didn't agree with Bush on every issue, but I will say he did a fairly good job considering the amount of adveristy and dissent from the intellectually vapid media who is now in the tank for our current president, all objectivity be damned.

History will decide if Iraq and Afghansistan was worth it in the long run, and right now it's too soon for hindsight to be judging him in that regard.

He’s the most incompetent President in my lifetime, my lifetime spans Nixon and Carter.

See poll, meant to add poll

I certainly don't agree with everything he did, in fact I abhor the Department of Homeland Security.

However, over all, Bush was alright.

Proud of Charles Krauthammer? You better believe it. The guy's a genius!

You're sounding a little uninformed. there.

To me, Bush was a mixed bag. While he was mainly horrible, he did have his moments.

Taxes - A
Judicial picks - A+
Decisive - A
Spying on Americans - F
War in Iraq - F
Environment - D
Treatment of our soldiers - F
Education - D

Just a few grades I can think of, off the bat.

Notice that I did not give Bush a C in anything. If Bush did something, he was either really great or really crappy. There was nothing in between.

Judicial Picks-agreed

Deciseveness-I'd go A

Spying on Americans-mixed bag-probably a B since the spying was based on callling countries known to harbor the enemy

Environment-I'd say B+ rolled back some of the idiotic Clinton attacks on private property

War in Iraq--Initial invasion A

"Occupation" D

Education-Federal Government shouldn't be involved but joining with Kennedy-D

Treatment of soldiers-B+

I think we should have a national recall provision for elected members of the executive branch so that later opinions of Bush actually could have been effective.

I'm sorry you did not include Treason, Violation of Oath of Office, Crimes against the People, etc. I did not like Bush the Younger during his presidency . I did not like him supporting policies that weakened this nation politically, economically, institutionally. One such was the North American Union garbage as if we need a super-national UN-esk bureaucratcracy. Another is the continual kowtowing to China that was started by his father. And the family relationship the the Saudi Royal family which we get the short end of the stick and whacked by it.

Let's not forget GW's boyfriend (photo below) I'm not saying they were romantically involved but he & his his boyfriend certainly Fuc_ed this country over. (& they're both rich men living the good life to this very day)
