Re: Should this Eagle Scout have been suspended for keeping 2" pocketknife in his car
Or it could be that some folks just don't understand what is it I'm trying to say, and instead of trying to understand they just think I'm out to get all those boy scouts with pocket knives. :doh
For **** sakes, no one on here actually knows what I'm talking about!
I do not think that 20 days of suspension was fair. He should have recieved less. However, because of the zero-tolerance policy was in place, the administrators could not give anything else except the minimum. If the administrators hands were tied, how can it be their fault? If you blame the administrators, then that is an unfair judgment.
Your beef is with the policy itself and why it was in place in the first place. Which I have acknowledge that it isn't always good, but nonetheless the zero-tolerance policy still serves a purpose (a safegaurd against discrimination). Which is why I have said that you must choose your poison.
I think lightdemon has something against Scouts to be arguing this **** for this long.
