It's because we don't have a war on drugs. We have never had a war on drugs. We have a public relations campaign on drugs. We've never been serious and if we actually were serious, we could severely cut down on drug use and especially on drug importation into this country.

But we'd rather just talk about it than do anything.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

You really think so? I am extremely doubtful that it can be done at reasonable cost.

I mean it's possible at some point I suppose, but how many people would it take to man every inch of the entire border, north and south? There is so much money involved, the smugglers would find a way. But you are right, it may drastically reduce the amount of drugs coming across.

I don't think it will be at reasonable cost. I don't think we would be willing to pay the price necesary. Therefore, we should drop the facade and legalize it. Follow me?

True. They would all become politicians, just like they did in the United States when Prohibition ended. LOL.

    Repeat after me......

In all honesty decriminalizing drugs is a good idea. Tax the **** out of it and let adults decide what they can or can't put into their own bodies.

It would seem that Mexico is now a more advanced than America.

Things are crazy, if you call the police because your home has been burgalized. The police will go and burgarlize you....again. And the people have no respect for the law and it's not a culture where people treat each other good. There are many bad people and many of those bad people get away with their crimes. If you withdraw a large amount of money from the bank, the banker handing you the money will call her friends. And those friends will rob you at gun point when you leave the bank. Those bank robbers are either gang members or cops. There have been many cases where the victim was shot and killed and the body is never recovered. Do you know what its like for the family to go without never knowing what happened to a love one?
And I remember on the highway, these armed robbers robbed a women in front of a lot of other cars AND not to far away was a cop. Did anyone help her? No. They stole her purse and got away and the other drivers continued about their business without offering to help her or stopping and asking if she was ok. Mexico is not a good country to live and not even to visit. My cousin and his friends got burgarlized in the metro three different times in one day. You can't go to the cops. You can't trust anyone around you.
When you are being robbed remember that you give them whatevery they want BUT never get into a car with them and never let them take you anywhere.
Yeah I dunno, but I did spend three months there and didn't encounter any of the **** you're talking about. But hey, I've no doubt that **** happens in certain places in the country. It happens in certain places in the US.

So, what does that have to do with legalizing drugs?

I thought I was going to die the 4th or so time I tried pot. I felt like my veins where bursting. I wanted to go to the hospital. I had no tolerance to THC and over smoked incredibly. (was trying to keep on pace with friends) Later I learned to just take a couple lung fulls out of 1 bowl only and share the rest. WAY better. Then it grew to 2 bowls.... 3... 4....

DAMN. I loved Mexico when I went there. Didn't have a single bad run in with cops or gangs. I grew slightly intimidated when we had to drive through a little checkpoint and all the guards had M16s though. But they just let us pass.
Went to a nice bar with my friends. Drank WAY too many shots. And after drinking Rattlesnake Tequila and having a bit of snake body slide down my throat I barfed all over their bar. I mean EVERYWHERE. The tables. The planter. The ground. The best part is the bar owner just couldn't stop laughing his ass off. Afterward he even sprayed everything down with a hose while laughing. It was a while ago but I thought Mexico was very pleasant.
My friend got caught with pot by a cop just outside of a club and they just made him scatter it on the ground and crush it with his foot. They didn't fine him and let him go. But I guess that is just my personal experience.

(Here in America I had cops make me take a knee in broken glass and was told if I moved an inch I would be blown away. With the gun being trained right on my head at all times.)
