Poll: Huckabee, Gingrich, Palin or Pawlenty?

Being a Democrat - I would vote for either Palin or Gingrich.

There is any interesting discussion going on over at Mitt Romney Central; the poll posted there proposes the following hypothetical:

I wanted to see what y'all thought about this hypothetical... please reply with sound reasons why or why not a particular candidate would be good or bad for a run against Obama in 2012 (2011) :)

As a conservative I refuse to vote for anymore libs,Bush was the last one. Anyone who thinks Romney is actual a conservative instead of a liberal is either a liar or a dumbass. The only way I would vote for Romney is if there was going to be a guarantee that he we would croak after being sworn in and he picked a actual conservative(Tom Tancredo probably comes close) as his VP and there was no constiutional party members running or some other 3rd party that comes close to my views.

Palin because she is the most Conservative and doesn't bend over for either party. She's one tough, smart lady who doesn't go around trying to please everybody. That's why the Dems and even some Rep. take every opportunity to bash her. If they weren't afraid of her, they'd ignore her.

Don't know enough about Pawlenty.
Huckabee is just so-so and rather dull.
I like Newt but he's not conservative enough and his morals stink.

Yes I do. She stomped Biden. I'd love to see her debate Obama. he may be able to deliver a great speech with his teleprompter, but in a real debate with Palin he wouldn't stand a chance. I can see it now, "Can I call you Barry?" wink wink

don't delude yourself that palin will run. although it's my fondest hope, she would have to run as a 3rd party candidate, because the republicans powers are smart enough to know she's not capable of winning an election.

what's she gonna do, quit when someone asks her a tough question?

The Bush Doctrine question was tougher than anything asked of Obama and he was running for Pres. The media even gave him a pass when he said there was 57 states.
Honestly, have you ever seen a VP candidate or any candidate put through the wringer by the media like they did, and still do, Palin?
Why is that? Is it because she is a Conservative woman, or is it because they are deathly afraid of her, or maybe a little of both?

keep believing that. dems all over the country want her to run.

Palin will never be the GOP nominee. The mods don't like her and even the staunchest conservatives know she can't win.

I think Huckabee is still viable despite the cop killer. Worse things have happened to candidates. It would be brought up initially, but dropped eventually. I think his employment at Fox would be more of an issue for some.

Huck would embarrass Palin in a debate. So would Newt.

I don't have a dog in the fight, so I'm not bias on this one. But you can't tell me that when you watch those interviews that she doesn't come off as completely uninformed.

Obama is looking like a one term president and the GOP knows they have a shot in '12. They won't waste this opportunity on Palin.

Watch out for that McDonald dude from VA. He's pretty well liked by all in the GOP tent from what I hear.

Plain? She doesn't even know who Hamas is.

The worst thing, that the Republicans did was bring this air head to the political area. Palin cannot even provide a clear coherent answer to most questions. To say the least, none of the dems are scared of her.

The thing is, Palin had no idea what she was doing in that debate. She was able to be all folksy, but she didn't even know enough to call Biden on his bull****. She lost on any intellectual ground. And Obama is a much better debater than Biden. He's also a better fundraiser and organizer than anyone on the right.

Any of these works for me. :sun

Have you looked at Gary Johnson?

I like Ron Paul only because he's more socially tolerant. Other than that I wouldn't vote for any of these morons. Sarah Palin? lol Mike Huckabee? lol Gingrinch? LOL

There is much I admire about Ron Paul, and they are probably the identical things that Republicans do no like about him. ;)

yea for sure, what we need is a saavy, washington outsider, who is socially tolerant and economically smart, who doesnt have a guns blazing foreign policy mentality.

That's why I struggle sometimes on party on identity. Some days I want to keep my monies and blow up the middle east, and some days I want gays to marry and everyone to sing kum bay yah. Depends on the day and mood really

If she doesn't bend over, then what incentive is there for me to vote for her?

If she bends over for me I'll have no problem voting Palin

This is an intriguing policy initiative. Let's brainstorm!
