I have all sorts of immunizations from the Marine Corps, and I've had to get a couple more recently, for entering the healthcare profession. But I haven't gotten a flu shot in 5+ years.

The one year I didn't get a flu shot in the last 20 years or so I got a really bad case of the flu. I did get a flu shot this year (not N1H1 yet) and last year I got type B influenza (which was not included in the 2008 vaccine) but it was not really too bad especially since my doctor started me on Tamiflu right away

Re: Do you get flu shots?

The only time I got a flu shot (almost 20 years ago) I ran a fever and felt like poo for two or three days. The flu typically makes me ill for four or five so I decided at that point I would take my chances.
