I've already heard way too many horror stories about the side effects of the new supposed "swine flu shot." Not gonna take my chances with that.

    Benefits:

Because it only really prevents against the three main strains, the seasonal flu vaccine only reduces the chance of suffering influenza symptoms by approximately 30% for healthy adults.

    Costs:

It takes time to go get them. Some people report mild side effects, and the fact that they contain thimerosal certainly isn't a plus.

To me, it's not worth it.
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

It looks like that won't be the case much longer. I researched this when my daughter was getting her vaccines, and thimerosal is pretty rare anymore.

Yes, reason, my wife say I whine to much when I'm ill, she is convinced that the majority of men are drama queens when it comes to illness

I'm very healthy and invincible. I've never had a flu shot and it is not a priority.

I try to avoid it but being in a risk group my Dr usually pounces on my arm when I am visiting over some other stuff. I might put up a bigger fight over the swine flu one though.

I'm more scared of the mercury than the actual needle. Regardless of it being safe or not, I don't need flu shots. I've been fine for the past 20 years of my life without them
