To be fair, I said, Perhaps from some areas of the school If parents are so concerned, it can be something that is teacher monitored. Both sides win, clean hands and no drunken school fires.

Most of the germs and bacteria that this stuff is designed to protect against are far more dangerous than whatever bored kids could do with hand wash. Plus, if your child is so bored that they're about to swallow hand cleaner for a fix, you've got bigger problems than worring about your local school's choice in hygeine products.

I worry about all this overuse of anti-bacterial soaps and sanitizers causing more super germs. I think my kids are too smart to drink sanitizer. That's just crazy.

Apparently that's more of a problem with oral antibiotics than then handwash, according to our nursing lecturers. There's so many antibiotic resistant strains of various diseases spreading around these days because some folks think antibiotics are the answer to every infection. I had a penicillin resistant chest infection a few years back, and that was not pretty.

Really? I knew getting it too often could reduce it's effectiveness, but I didn't know it could be so dangerous.

There's nothing unusual about it. Heck, I haven't had any alcohol in more than 20 years. I just don't care for it and find nothing enjoyable about puking my guts out.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

Don't know... we're into the "Jackass" generation nowadays. I'm sure some kid will look at the container and wonder "what if?"

And the Darwinian in me is thinking - "go ahead.."

They've also done stupid things before as well. Contrary to what you may think, this generation isn't much differant than yours. You're probably just getting older. Even the parents were ignorant of many dangers back in the day. Opium, laudnum, and many other dangerous drugs were used for typical childhood ailements.

    Oh, that's probably correct.

To be fair - that is the parents or doctors. Not quite the same as teens getting opium without knowing what it's for.
