I can't see how anyone but a hyperpartisan would want a single party to run amok, unchecked.

Like I said, that isn't my prescription for an effective government for all-time. That is what I think works the best in 2009, to deal with the problems I think are most important: Health care and the recession.

So far the only combination that has resulted in the BEST results has been Democrat President with a Republican Congress.

What is YOUR opinion of the ONLY choice?

So, you think that every combination prior to the rise of the singular party state was bad?

Let's seem the Republican party started in 1854. Huh. 1854-1775 = 79 years of combinations you deem irrelevant.

You already know my opinion of the single poll option. You just don't like the fact that I'm not a hyperactive partisan hack.

Most of which cannot be blamed, at least entirely, on Obama. If these problems are still around in 3 years, you will be right, till then, it is too early to tell.

But Redress, it's always easier to pretend that whatever bad things that happen are the fault of other party! Did we see TD leveling the same accusations against the GOP White House and GOP dominated Congress?

No. And there's a reason for that.

How any sane, rational person can defend deficit spending during boom years yet criticize deficit spending during recession is beyond comprehension, which of course suggests such a person is not sane nor rational.

Hey, homie-g, you've been awfully quiet lately! Good to see you.

Good to see you as well my dear. I am not on the forum as much lately. I need to get back, but it seemed there was a lull in any good topics there for awhile. I have also been writing free-lance for a local paper on international issues. Anyway, I should be around more and look forward to seeing you playa!

Due to the realities of modern American political life, none of the above. No matter who is in charge, they all have their own personal agenda that they pursue above and beyond their "responsibility" to represent the people.

Most of them treat it more like a vague suggestion.

I vote :none of the above.
