I would say Carter

Indeed, he's Carter II.

Obama and Carter: two men who lacked any of the necessary experience to hold the office of President, and yet were elected as a result of extreme backlash against previous unpopular Republican administrations. Furthermore, both men are left-wing idealogs whose ideals and goals are out of the American mainstream. They are both characterized by failed domestic policies, as well as weak and inefficient foreign policies.

Obama will join Carter as a one-term President, as the voters realize their error was the result of unjustified zeal and distaste for previous administrations, rather than faith and confidence in the person running.

Hitler. Both are the best orators of their generation.

This poll does little other than exposing some of the fools.

Of the choices, I'll go with Clinton. He is a Democrat, he was not born into wealth, he has a wife who had her own career and went far in it while raising kids. He has similar politics. I suspect both have wives who had an abortion themselves at one point in time. Both wives are very ambitious and influential with their husbands.

It's my gut feeling. Both women are avid, ambitious feminists from the post sexual revolution era. I particularly suspect Mrs Obama based on some telling comments he has made and his utter commitment to pro-choice extremism.

It's my belief that a certain proportion of women who've had abortions become rabidly pro-choice to stuff their feelings of ambivalence, guilt and/or regret. Other women might go to the opposite extreme and become rabidly pro-life of course. I feel like, definitely Mrs Obama, belongs in the former category, and that her and her husband's total commitment to even late term abortion is partly influenced by her abortion in the past. They see that, without that abortion, she probably wouldn't have achieved her goals, and they want to morally justify her choice.

why would suspect abortions? wth?

In other words, any woman who doesn't stay where she belongs - in the kitchen and pregnant - must have had an abortion. Got it. :2wave:

Many ambitious women have gotten abortions while in college. Whether you believe in pro-choice or not, I would hope it would be a rare woman that wouldn't have some moral ambivalence about spreading her legs at the abortionist's table and having her living fetus sucked out of her body and into a sink.

hmm....."pro choice extremism"? what telling comments? pretty ridiculous assumption, imo.

I don't believe I said that. If that's your interpretation of my statement, then this is probably one subject you and I would find no common ground about, and it would be futile to discuss further.

I happen to believe that Michelle Obama had an abortion, and that likely Mr Obama was involved in a relationship where his girlfriend aborted his child.

If I had to compare him to another president, it would have to be Clinton. Both with similar political goals, both with strong wives, both pushing to reform health care.

It's merely my personal opinion, no more than that. I firmly believe what said. I certainly don't have evidence to prove it in a court of law, but I think it happened.

That is exactly what you said. Your evidence that Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton got abortions was that they are both successful women. That is blatantly sexist.

I'm still waiting for your evidence supporting this bizarre theory. :2wave:

wow.....who said anything about my personal stand? i'm just wondering why you feel the need to wildly speculate that michelle obama and hillary clinton had abortions?

kind of weird, actually.

this is a joke, right?

I must've touched a nerve here with my opinion that Michelle Obama got an abortion in the past. The only reason it would matter is that, deep down the reactants know that abortion is wrong. Otherwise, what would it matter? It would have no more import than whether she chose the chicken salad or the hamburger for lunch.

do you always base your personal opinions on pure conjecture that seems to have no basis in reality?

When you offhandedly make such a bizarre statement with no supporting evidence, you can expect to be called out on it.

It sounds to me like *you* have a pretty strong opinion on abortion. Is that because you had one yourself, as per your theory? Or are you allowed to have an opinion because you're male?

I have never had any child of mine aborted, have never been to an abortion clinic, nor been involved in anyway with abortion.

I do find it interesting that in my many years on the internet and in life, I've never had any pro-choice person 'come out' regarding their own personal abortion. People will 'come out' publicly about homosexuality even though a certain percentage of the population will disapprove of them and condemn them.

But think of it, how many abortions are there a year in the U.S.? According to this website that's 1.37 Million per year currently.

Where are all these women? That's a lot of women. There's a good chance that it's your friend or neighbor. But, they're mostly hiding in the closet. No one speak openly about it, do they? That's because it is a horrible truth to have had an abortion. It's not the same as having had gay sex, is it? It really is something to hide and be ashamed of.

According to the website website I linked to:

Likelihood of abortion:
An estimated 43% of all women will have at least 1 abortion by the time they are 45 years old. 47% of all abortions are performed on women who have had at least one previous abortion.

So how farfetched is my theory that Michelle Obama had an abortion in her past?
