One thing about pot is that it has lingering effects of making the user more spaced out. Might be dangerous in some professions. It creates paranoia and attention deficit in me, and causes me to get highly overly analytic of other people to the point where I basically can't tolerate human company whatsoever. I'm just speaking from personal experience, it may not affect everyone the same.

Then perhaps you shouldn't post in a thread that deals with exactly such a topic, and leave the discussion to those of us who ARE willing and able to offer educated opinions on corporate strategy. No one is forcing you to say anything at all. :2wave:
Now that is funny. :rofl

Drug tests are an invasion of privacy and should be illegal.
What an employee does in his or her own home that has no effect on their job is absolutely none of their employer's business.

I fully believe an employer has the right to terminate any employee using drugs at work or at such a time when they might possibly effect their work performance.
But drug tests are not used for that. They are used to determine drug use within a 30 day period.

Alcohol is considerably worse than some "drugs". A drug test makes even less sense than testing an employee to see if they have had a sip of alcohol in the last 30 days, after work, and in the privacy of their home.

I think most people here would concur with you that drug tests are asinine. However, this does not change the fact that whether or not the tests are used is completely at the discretion of the company. If you do not want to take one, do not work somewhere where drug testing is part of the company's procedure.

Whereas you continue to waste O2 by breathing. ;)
