This has been stated repeated, but Hatuey seems to think that because this woman chooses to wear something as part of her religion - because she interprets it as the right thing to do -, then refusing to hire her is religious discrimination. Never mind the fact that I'm sure they'd have no problem hiring a Muslim who did NOT choose to cover themselves in such a way. And, while I have no doubt they have Christians working there, it'd be unlikely they would hire a christian wearing a nun habit.

This whole "religious discrimination" bull**** is just that... bull****. Just another way for the PC police to bitch and moan.

All of you who voted "no" are wrong.

No business is allowed to discriminate based on religion. This is a federal law.

You people need to get out of the 50's.

So you believe that bars should be forced to hire Mormons who refuse to dispense alcohol?
    Are you coming to bed?
    I can't. This is important.

As has already been mentioned, it has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with a potential employees unwillingness to abide by a company dress code.

IMO, however, any employer should most certainly be allowed to hire/fire whomever they want for whatever reason they want... including religious ones. But, religion isn't the issue here

Except the business isn't discriminating based on religion, but on individual choice. Are you telling me that there are no Muslims anywhere working for A&F? I'm willing to bet there are. Therefore, they are not discriminating based on religion, but on a person presumably telling them they will not follow company rules.

    Welcome to reality.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.
