Perhaps you're having trouble reading. Let me repeat the question that was asked:

"Have "government-agents" bust down your door?"

See that "Your". That means YOU, Alex Libman, the door on YOUR Home. Not "someone elses" door or "Someone you knows door" or "some random guy on wikipedia's door"...but YOURS.

Well, your modness, see, the Christmas before Ed Brown was busted, a bunch of us Free Staters all pitched in and bought him a door...

Oh, and do car doors count? If so, oh man...

So what is the point of this poll? :doh

Obvious.
Those who think that their government is "after them" or is not looking after their best interests must be exposed for the fools that they are. They are in a small minority, thank goodness.

I don't know ANYONE who's ever had their door busted down by "government-agents" and those that do are usually on TV. You know : drug dealers, crazy Christian sects, people running illegal slave shops out of hangers, Russian mob bosses in movies, crazy Cuban people kidnapping little kids. People throw the "government-agents busting down your door" card for even the most trivial of things. It's like the government has a squadron of "agents" just ready to bust down the door of some irrelevant shmuck in Northern Kansas.

I've never even had a "government-agent" leave me a notice much less kick down my door but I know people who'll swear that this happens a lot in America. This all made me wonder. How many people here have had these 'government-agents' bust down their doors? And did they(the agents) give a reason? Any reason at all? If it's never happen to you but you at least know somebody this has happened to, would you please be kind enough to post their story? Why the 'agents' busted down their door? Or at least why they claimed they were justified to do so?

Not outright, but I'm sure I'm on some list.

Are the police being considered governemnt agents?

Yes. One of the first arms to be used against the People should the government go that route.

I, too, am wondering what the point is.

I can see a zombie invasion happening before this does.

Methinks you need to read the OP:

Methinks you need to read the OP:

"Knowing" someone, and "knowing of" someone are two different things.

Nothing from what that gentleman posted gave any indication he physically knew the gentleman that he linked the wikipedia page from, but simply that he's part of a similar movement of him.

If someone asks have you ever had huge amounts of plastic surgery and potentially touched kids, or know someone that has, should I go "Yeah, Michale Jackson" and link to michael jacksons wiki because one time in 1989 I went to a concert and Jackson was there?

Hey! Schmuck is a little harsh...

Then the OP is nothing more than a request for irrelevant anecdotes. What's he trying to prove with this? That government agents don't bust people's doors down? I can assure you that they do.

I love the way someone answers his question - which IS a request for anecdotes - and then chastises them when they cannot corroborate their story, as if corroboration were a necessary element of an anecdote. This is just another bait thread with no point.

I doubt he's going for anything more than anecdotal I'd imagine.

I think its probably one of those things that while sure, the media...be it main stream or "niche" forms of information distribution...will hype up and focus on individual cases, giving the impression that there is a much greater danger and likilihood of something happening, in reality a tiny percentage of Americans have had a case where themselves, or someone relatively close to them, have actually had the government (The way I read it it seemed he was implying federal since it seems his use of "agent" is like FBI agent or ATF agent and not "agent, ie someone working on behalf of the government) come busting down their doors.

That while yes, it happens, its not exactly a wide spread nor prevelant issue for the extreme vast majority of people.

And to answer Tucker's question, I disagree with Ikari and doubt he meant Cops. He specifically said Goverment agents and went on to describe agents in the way one would think of an FBI or ATF agent, IE specifically a member of some special federal government law enforcement body. So I'd imagine cops don't count in his questioning. Though ultimately Hautey would need to clarify as all Ikari and I are doing is guessing.

This thread is still screaming for a purpose; I am still at a loss as to what the point is. :doh

If past is prologue...
A straw man, set up specifically to be beat down by the OP?

This is just another bait thread with no point.

I've got to agree considering all the ten-foot-pole marks on my post about Ruby Ridge.

If you won't discuss an example, why ask for one ?

I think the point is to illustrate the absurdity of the paranoia of the anti-gummint movement. I'm always in favor of making fun of them, so I'm good with it.

I've never known anyone whose door was busted down by the po-po's (and I've known a few, because I've spent years working with criminally involved gang members) who wasn't known to be armed and dangerous, and who wasn't involved in current criminal activity.

p.s. The 5-0s are your friends.

The 5-0s are your friends.

The 5-0 are not my friends, as not one of them respects my 2nd amendment rights, and I don't give two poops about their losing fight with contraband merchants. They are losing, and I am glad of it.

I’m sorry, I haven't seen anyone making such specious claims of "government-agents" busting down your doors. Do you have any credible sources to illustrate this?

Perhaps, if the truth were told, the ones trying to expose these current fools would be the old fools who where paranoid of the previous Administration taking away their Liberties by spying on them and then throwing them into gulags on unwarranted terrorist charges? :doh

Fascinating; and yet the pro-gummint Libruls of today were saying absurd things about the previous administration and its efforts to deny your liberties by spying on you and throwing people into "gulags" on trumped up terrorist charges.

I think that Ethreal got it 100% right when he said; “this is just another bait thread with no point.”

Its about a previous post in another thread.

Which is why this thread is a joke, basement material if any has been.

So nobody here has had their door busted down by 'government agents'? Ever? Or actually know somebody who this has happened to?

And!? What would that prove, besides the fact that nobody at DP has any direct experience with such?
