That is probably the best barbecue in Texas.
Thx. Next time in Houston I will try to check it out.

Could have been one of those. I just don't remember. That was a pretty hectic trip.

No. It was Lenox's Barbecue. I remember the name now.

Goode Company has come excellent barbecued quail.

I have never head of Luby's. My first thought at the name was lube

I think Subway $5 footlongs are the best bang for your buck right now and is fairly healthy.

I concur, look what it did for Gene Kelly and the umbrella industry.

Re: McDonald's or Luby's (or any other cafeteria)

I usually swing through the McDonald's in my small town for dinner. I would eat at Luby's if there was one close by. The nearest to my home is Little Rock...over 45 miles away. Ryan's is in Conway...abut 15 miles.

I would prefer a cafeteria-style restaurant over a fast-food place. After a while, you realize that each fast-food joint tastes basically the same...whether it is McDonald's or Wendy's. If you were blindfolded and handed burgers from a variety of different fast-food places, you could tell from whence each burger came...simply by taste. Yeah? Am I right? I can do it, so I know you can do it.

At least in a cafeteria-style place, you have lots more variety and can actually eat a healthier meal (certainly a more tasty meal) than the same old burgers/fries combos.

    Another one of these?

The better one is the mom and pop deli, pizza joint, sammich shop etc, that has less than 10 locations.
