It's a free market & the Philadelphia Eagles have every right to help their bottom line by signing anyone they want.
That being said, I have every right to boycott their games & products sold by their sponsors.(I am a NE Patriots fan but intend to communicate with the Patriots my intention to boycott any game they play against the Eagles, not watch any Patriot vs Eagles games on TV & boycott any sponsors of these games.

Anyone wish to express their comments?

NO. He did his time. His debt to society is paid. That doesn't mean I wouldn't smile if a rottweiler ate his privates, but he's got a clean slate with me.

I guess people just need to decide if he's paid enough for them personally. He's paid his debt to the state, so he's free to start trying to get his life back and earn a living. If Philly wants to sign him, that's up to them. It will not be worth the distraction and headache, though. I can tell you that. I would not sign him for that reason.

Trick question, I hate the Eagles anyway and think Vick is the perfect fit for that fan base, so I wasn't going to watch them to begin with.

I voted No by the way. They have every right to sign him. It's not smart, but that's a different issue entirely.

As much as I think what he did was despicable, he paid his time and debt. No need to scarlet letter him.

If any out there feel as I do, (that the Eagles decision was a poor one from almost any angle you view it & should not be rewarded) I would recommend contacting your local NFL team & advising them of your intention to boycott any game THEY may have scheduled to play against the Eagles as well.
This is strictly a free market problem & can easily be solved by using the free market tool of sponsorship boycott.

Michael Vick may well have paid for his horrible "Errors", but the Philadelphia Eagle franchise should pay for their horrible error in signing him, in my view.

No, as Catz mentioned he has done his time.

On the otherhand I already boycott most sports. I will not watch, pay, or purchase merchandise for most professional sport. I believe they pay most athletes far more then they are worth and I will not support them.

Oh Lord No!

Heavens No!

I want to see that dumbass, ass showing, santa hating, vile language spewing, drunken jerks who need a court room in their stadium, ignorant championshipless fanbase turn on their pretty darn good QB halfway through the season when he has a bad game and demand that a washed up, half-decent running back that happens to throw the ball, I can chuck it 90 yards from my knees but too bad the reciever is 10 yards away from me, overrated to the extreme, 2 years out of the league, absolutely idiot gets put in instead.

It'll be entertaining.

I hope it happens when they come to play the Skins.

I think boycotting the Eagles because they signed Vick is stupid and uncalled for. Boycotting the Eagles because they're from Philadelphia is rational and understandable however.

When Jerry Jones leaves football I'll stop boycotting it.

Actually, he was the most overrated football player EVER.

Why don't the Eagles announce they have just signed OJ Simpson to be the voice of the Philly Eagles?!?!?:sword::2rofll:

& that the team was just bought by GW Bush!!!

& that the team mascot will now be a ......................................................Wait for it

I boycott the NFL period. The NFL sucks. If you want to watch REAL football, you gotta watch college ball.

I hear that.

I watched the Patriot's pre-season game last night &.................Now that the football season is nearing an end........(Pretty damn close!....How many games do these guys actually play before the real important stuff starts....You know.......The counting of the money!!!!:eek:

So you are punishing the Eagles because they have hired a man who you say has paid his debt. It appears you don't think Vicks debt has been paid and believe anyone who associates with him automatically incurs a debt.

Please clarify why the Eagles should pay for the crimes of Vick if you say he has paid his debt.

True, he did his Time. But I doubt that he's changed from a "creature" that made money off of promoting the slaughter of animals,,,for pleasure and profit.

I like your idea of a Rottweiler enjoying a "snack" though.

I never said he paid his debt. I said

"May well have"..... is a qualifier by which I meant some people may think he paid his debt. I don't.....& I do indeed think the Eagle franchise should pay a monetary penalty for....stupidity if nothing else. (why offend a potentially significant number of fans by signing such a controversial player who wasn't that good in the first place??)

Well...at this point, it appears that roughly 2/3rds of the poll responders agree that the Eagles games should be boycotted. I suggest making our feelings known to them, (Eagles)...THE NFL...& your local NFL team & TV stations.

I can only imagine what will happen when the real "Animal Rights" loonies start on this!:hitsfan:

The Eagles have every right to sign whomever they want. I have every right to show my dislike of them giving a convicted Felon 1.6 million dollars by not watching their games.

Vick has paid his debt to society, but that does not mean that he is owed a high paying job, or that I have to support the place that hired him.

You have to be kidding. You think they didn't consider the blowback. I would bet they had this professionally polled before the decision was made. Your little pissant poll here is irrelevant.

Hmmmm.........You sound like a very angry man. (Getting all pissed off on a SPORTS topic???) I suggest some warm milk & cookies & perhaps an anger management class would help.

BTW...Can you describe what exactly a "Pissant Poll" is?

Let's play a game here:

I wonder if I can possibly guess what your political affiliation may be????

Liberal Democrat??....Nah
Independent???.....Nah
Moderate??...Nah

I give up?!?!?...Whatever could it be???;);)
