I was wondering the age demographics at debatepolitics...

Poll options coming shortly

Note: This poll is private for a reason xD. Respond with your age if you like, nobody is making you!

By the way: I'm seventeen. I think age definitely correlates with political lean to a degree. What do you think?

Im around your age too. It doesn't really matter how old you are. If you are interested in politics and can formulate an opinion and refute arguments using facts and a bases for a good argument, then well, thats enough.

I am 46, and I was a liberal at your age. Now that I am older and more cynical, I am much more conservative.

23.

Pay taxes and have a mortage and still liberal? There goes one myth.

Im 24 and Ive been cynical since 18.

You are the exception rather than the rule.

A perfect example was Star Wars Galaxies the MMO. Most of the older players were Empire. Most of your younger players were Rebels. It was funny to see that this was pretty much the mix on even the role playing servers.

In relation to gaming, I always play as the bad guys. Its much more fun.

I am about your age, and am still a liberal.

I turned 41 a couple months ago.

I bet the results will change when all the geezers wake up tomorrow morning at 7am.

When I was 18....I was stauchly conservative....a child of the Reagan era... (even though my family was very moderately independent).

However....I grew up and realized that the Reagan "conservative" dogma was little more than a justification of the American "me me me" philosophy".

Living in the "real world" gave me a better understanding of the struggles of many Americans and much more compassion towards my fellow mankind.

It just shows you suffer from infintial penile syndrome.

I kid! I kid!

Well like I said exceptions to the general rule always exist. I can honestly say most of the people I have known or know become more conservative (not always or just political) as they get older.

I'm almost 35. Socialist-type liberal. Always have been.

Oh just shut up.

I'm 42. Have voted for exactly 1 Republican President (George H. W. Bush), have been a card-carrying member of the ACLU for the last 5 years, and after ten years of running my own business, still support any politician who believes that low taxes and less government bureaucracy are the way to get my vote.

The only parties I do involve kegs of beer, bottles of scotch, and women of ill repute. ;)

I'm the old fart of those who have responded so far.

I am a ways into my fifties.

I voted for 1 Republican President (Reagan)....ay yi yi....what was I thinking!!!

Serious though. I could support a socially moderate, fiscal conservative Republican....however, the GOP of today doesn't care about fiscal conservatism....they are all about far extreme social conservatism.

I long for the return of the Barry Goldwater Gop........

I have never voted. Hah! I am uninfluenced!

I forgot to comment on the political lean aspect.

Though I've had little interest in politics until recently, as a young adult I leaned heavily towards conservatism. Now, I consider myself more centrist. I believe that both parties have some good ideas. My voting history is bipartisan, and I have voted for Democratic as well as Republican presidents. I've only voted straight ticket one time in my life and it was because everyone I was going to vote for happened to belong to the same party.

I would say it's a bit of a generalization, but younger people have a tendency to lean toward the Democratic Party. As for me, I'm twenty years old and I've been a Libertarian for a while, I just didn't know it. I just realized about a year ago that there was a party that I could affiliate myself with.

mental or chronological age??????

raised Republican. Now just a conservative (not neo-con) and apart of the Vote out all Incumbents movement

I've always picked the good guys. In Fallout 3 I have perfect karma.

Dude, how could you NOT blow up Megaton? That was one of the best things I've ever done in any game.
