Morrowind > Oblivion
I didn't play Morrowind.
Morrowind > Oblivion
I'm 21 and am definitely becoming more conservative. I was raised in an extremely liberal household, and I was a pot-smoking teenager during the bush years (oh the paranoia!) - small wonder I lean left. I started leaning libertarian for a while until I had a few conversations with some real libertarians and decided that libertarianism is just as impractical as communism. Now I'm drifting to the right, but the GOP is such a caricature of itself that I'm almost never able to agree with anything a republican says publically. Still, I expect the rightward trend to continue

Imagine Oblivion, but about 50 times deeper gameplay. As an example, you simply could not join every faction and do all their quests, some where mutually exclusive, and made people either like or dislike you.
. However, that said, I still believe that this is exactly why Country Folk tend to be more conservative. They are more isolated and as a result live lives in which, as a matter of sheer necessity, are much more focused on themselves and their families.
People in cities are exposed much more to other individuals and thus I believe are much more likely to adopt views and ideas which are much more inclusive of other individuals.
Probably, but I think that you are far too young to concrete your political philosophy.By the way: I'm seventeen. I think age definitely correlates with political lean to a degree. What do you think?

Our country is nealy 50/50 rural/urban and lean.
I love how there is a debate going on about rural/urban population while people are weighing the positives and negatives of Oblivion, Morrowind, Fallout 3.
Cyrodill is mainly a rural province, by the way. So is the Capital Wasteland!

There are more people around my age than I figured. So, DP isn't all old farts.
Im in my mid 30's and have always been a very conservative person. Then again most country boys are :2wave:.
My theory: Country people are a more simple down to earth people that are still in touch with the basics. City folk have been detached from this basic life and rely heavily on others.
My experience says just the opposite. "Country Folk" live somewhat sheltered detached lives...a sort of charming naivite. This is why rural areas tend to be much more "red" than cities which tend to be "blue".
I voted for Reagan at 20.Im 24 and Ive been cynical since 18.

Well, for a lot of us,There are more people around my age than I figured. So, DP isn't all old farts.
Well, for a lot of us,
it is one of the few
pleasures of our
declining years,to
vote as a block
to seize the wages
of arrogant little snots
to pay for our
retirements, and
occasionally
beat their indolent,
insolent little backsides
for them, that they
might understand
that we all age,
but some of us do
it the way an
oak does.
