Do you believe that opposition to Obama is mostly based on his race

Is opposition to Obama mostly due to his race?

We are growing even if slowly. One day hopefully the black man can throw off the government/socialist tit and stand on his own 2 feet and say I did it for myself.

What a great day that will be for everyone.

IIRC, wasn't the African American (Gawd I hate that term) community squarely in the GOP's camp?? If so, then how the hell did the Democrats manage to dupe them???

Now you see, if I would have said that (being white and all), I would have been labeled a racist. The dems use minorities, they do not support them. The longer they hold them down by forcing them to rely on government, the less likely that they will be able to stand on their own two feet and "do it themselves". This is why ramming through government health care is so important. This will force many, many people to totally rely on government, which is the basis for their entire plan in the first place. Boy, I hope I'm not labeled a racist for speaking the truth.

P/N, no you are not ;) Hell, even Bill Cosby got raked over the coals for telling it like it is!!

Yea so do I. I am an American who happens to be a wonderful milk chocolate brown. :2razz:

It is the historical flip of core thinking of the party's. It's like when my cousin asked what happened to the gun toting Southern Democrat. I told him they became Republicans.

Well your comments are truthful and not insulting so why would they be racist?

Black folks get called out on it to, it's just harder with us not being able to be racist and all like you white folks. ;)

Care to name a few? You know, for credibility sake.

It was a joke. The sad part is that you actually took it seriously.

The left has no sense of humor, they think a cover on a national "news" magazine showing Bush as a vampire biting the Statue of Liberty is amusing.

What a crock of sh!t!! First off, Obummer, Soto, Holder and the rest of that ilk are the most Left wing Liberal lunatics ever to disgrace the hallowed halls of Congress, the SCOTUS and the WH. Second, I personally take strong offense to your broad brush assertations. Like I said, if Obama were a solid Conservative Republican, I would definately support him!

are you suggesting that ONLY conservatives love their country? have good ideas? are interested in representing the people for the greater good?

Like I said so many times, the only reason Obama is in office now is because the GOP screwed up too many times, and tried to cover up their screwups as well.
The public has spoken, deal with it....

So you think the Democrats are clean and pure as the wnd driven snow???? And BTW, Rasmussen has Obama below 50%

That's the size of it.

The left is interested in looting people with money to buy votes, to expand government, and otherwise do serious harm to this once great former republic.

Yes, what that statement boils down to, in fact, is that the people who normally vote Republican got fed up with the massive shift by the GOP in pursuit of the Democrats. That's why McCain's numbers started to rise when he named a real conservative to be his VP, and fell when he showed everyong what a liberal wuss he really was.

If the GOP can find a real American, not a liberal, not a limp-dicked moderate, to be their nominee in 2012, the socialists won't stand a chance.

Not to mention keeping a permanent underclass totally dependent on big daddy gubment!!!

Agreed. And to those who think that the GOP needs to be a so-called "big tent" party need to understand this. Demographics be damned! Reagan was able to usher in the last Conservative Revolution by doing what he does best-convey conservatism in such a way that appealed to the American people! Not just blacks, Hispanics, etc. like the Democrats do!!!

Do you see "very liberal" in my sig? I see very conservative in yours, not that you need to advertise it.

I am equal opportunity, I see both sides as corrupt.

You could have worded that better....I would have said to ALL Americans, not just blacks, Hispanics, etc.
Besides, we haven't had a conservative since Reagan, certainly GWB was not conservative...
He, and his daddy, spent tax money like drunken sailors for unnecessary wars. And both of them sucked up to the Saudis like no other president ever has.

Both sides spend, but democrats are at least honest enough to tax us now for what they spend, instead of borrowing against our children's future.

Each generation should have more opportunities, and live better, than the last, but not at the expense of the next.

Right now, in that respect, Obama is looking like a republican.... He is borrowing from our grandchildren to fix today's problems....

I agree with you for the most part but I have to ask...

If you could point me to where you replied as to why you think Obama's opposition trouble are due to his race? I cannot understand how anyone could think that. It literally has nothing to do with his race.

Which opposition? Public opposition, such as republicans/politicians, I doubt race is involved. But private oppostion, from ordinary citizens, I think race plays a large part. maybe not a majority, but no small number either.
They are the source are a lot of really stupid emails....

I only asked because you voted yes in the poll.

I don't think race has much to do with it. If it was a white man trying to pass the HCB the opposition would be just as fierce.

I think the majority of the resistance is because he is making down right stupid policy decisions. The bail outs, following in step with to much of what Bush did. It all adds up to independents and conservatives wanting out.

But hey, that's just me.

wanting out? where can we go?
IMO, the polecats in congress are going to do whatever they want to do, all WE can do is try to do the best we can within the silly/stupid rules they inflict on us.

Based on this comment here...
The hyperpartisan lefties seem to think so. I find that race is far more often on the mind of liberals than conservatives.

propulsed? is that a word?
Obama is there because the GOP screwed up too often and for too long....
the public got tired of old stupid and voted for new stupid....

Propulsion is a word to propulse is propulsed is it not or I could be a very bad speller.

In any case I do agree the Republicans lost not the democrates won. Yet he wasnt qualified to run for President, heck he wasnt qualified to give the keynote speech ion 2004, and here we are with a State Senator as President.

time will tell if a state senator is any better than a former Texas governor....
The GOP handed the whitehouse to the DEMS on a silver platter...and so far I don't see any new GOP blood suitable to run in 2012...

A governor is the second most imporant executive position in the US, and is far more of a qualification then State senator in the most corrupt state.

I agree with that assesment.

Minor correction:

A "state senator" is the guy in the state legislature.

The Messiah was a United States Senator.

If I recall, he was also a state senator in Illinois.

Either way, the Messiah is working hard to remove the burden of being the most Ignorant and Useless President from "Jimmy" Carter. He's got 3.5 more years, and he's almost there already.

Oh, and the word you're looking for is "propelled", not "propulsed".

As much as I agree with this, there hasn't been any Democrats suitable to run in the last 30 years, either, however, one way or another, in 2012 either a Democrat or a Republican will win the election in November.

Suitability to be president isn't a criteria for winning the election, as the two clowns running last year showed us.

He didnt finish his term, nor did he face opposition in his run for Senate. It was merely a stepping stone to increase his media coverage, and not really an attribute to his skills as a leader or law maker. He was a merely a State senator nothing more who was pushed into the Presidency. He is a very smart guy, very talented but very unqualified to be President.
