Do you believe that opposition to Obama is mostly based on his race

Is opposition to Obama mostly due to his race?

it was already presented to congress you nimrod
why are you being so ****ing obtuse
it failed prior to summer vacation
you are touting the Huffington post spin machine with this final bill bull****

it passed the house and the senate refused to vote on it before summer vacation despite Dear Leaders pressure to do so

So, in fact no final version of any HC reform bill was presented on the floors of both houses of Congress for a vote, prior to summer vacation & therefore no billed "Failed prior to summer vacation" as you erroneously stated when you called ME a nimrod!

You have got to be kidding.

The Bill was complete and sent to be passed. They refused to do so.

How hard is that to understand? You do speak English?

If true, it tells me that their medical care plan(s) are free to them and high enough in quality that private insurance plans are not a better option.

No government medical care to Congress or federal employee is free. (military is I think) These plans are paid for by the government employee & usually are BC&BS , Harvard Pilgrim, etc.....In other words....Private HC insurance companies who contract with the government.
What/'s wrong with that?

"The government (meaning taxpayers like you and me) pays 72% of the average premium but not more than 75%. Your Congressman saw the remaining 25% deducted from his $12,500 monthly paycheck (also paid for by you and me). This is similar to the amount the government pays under Medicare. Under Medicare, the government pays 75% of the Part B premium and the other 25% monthly premium is deducted from your Social Security check (which is much, much less than $12,500 per month)." - Ask the Advisor: Congressional Health Care Benefits, the Rolls Royce of Health Plans?

Look evidence! Wow what a concept!

Wrong again Devil505.

Perhaps I misunderstood.

I was under the impression that you were saying you wanted a UHC system in the US, and that the congressional, military, and governmental employee HC plans were a good example of how it should be done.

As I:
  1. Personally have almost no knowledge of those systems.
  2. Was under the impression that UHC (which is how I view the goal of the current bill) was, essentially. government controlled and run medical care, which would replace most if not all private control of such things.
Thus, I was led to believe that you were saying the current governmental programs for health care of their employees were the same. As I had no personal knowledge of such.

And I answered with that in mind.

I diagree with your opinion. I think it can be done.

Really? Then how are you going to come up with enough hearts for everyone that needs it to get a heart transplant? Lung transplant? ANY sort of transplant? And what about the drugs? Those can only be made at a certain pace. What about doctors? How are you going to get enough general doctors to see everyone that needs to be seen? Especially when doctors want to specialize now a days because that's where the money is?

That is what the real problem IS,........ The public's misunderstanding of what a national HC plan will be.
Lack of understanding & deliberate misinformation has misled many Americans into thinking UHC will be free, pay for illegal aliens, pay for abortions & be run by government bureaucrats.....None of which is true.
Once the public understand what the real public HC system is, they overwhelmingly like it. That's what scares the private insurance companies......Their profits will be cut!

The Congressional & government employee health plans are:

1. Paid for by the employee
2. Run by private insurance companies (like BC/BS)
3. Do not pay for abortions
4. Do not have "Death Panels" , like your private insurance does.

I agree that the Obama administration has not done as good a job of getting out the truth as the GOP/HC Industry has done getting out lies & scare tactics.
I think this will change in September when summer recess is over.
Then, the House...The Senate....Blue Dogs Dems & any Repubs who care to will thrash out a compromise bill that will be favored by the public, passed by Congress & signed by Obama.

and guess who pays their salaries
wake up already will you. You are paying for their better health plan and they are trying to pass a watered down POS on you, in comparison

None of the opposition is based on his race. Think so, prove it.

My opposition is because I won't support anyone that calls me a nazi, brownshirt, senile, tea bagging redneck, etc., etc. Obviously they are trying to intimidate. Anyone with a any backbone at all will obey the phychological imperative and push back. It is just more proof that this administration is (unbelievably) more incompetent than the Carter administration.

Want a racist...Eric Holder!

nice of you to leave out the important part of my post and ignore it in your reply as well

None of your replies have any important parts!

(sorry.....You left yourself wide open for that!!)

I don't think opposition to Obama is mostly based on race. I think it is emotionally-based on the fact that he is a democrat and had an emotionally-based following amongst liberals running up to the election that was directly proportional to the emotionally-based opposition that was felt amongst said liberals to the Bush administration.

And while we're talking about not insulting the intelligence of the posters here, let's stop calling Obama a socialist. Sound fair?

No, Obama is not a de facto socialist; he is, however, the most socialistic President this country has ever seen.

but it would have been funnier if in a subsequent you actually replied to the missing part ;)

Libs never want to admit anything about where the money comes from.

You should know better. ;)

I did not say that UHC would be free, or any of the above.

I said it would be, essentially, majority or complete government control of the UHC systems.

It is the government control I have an issue with.

IMO, our government has shown throughout it's history that anything of this sort that is attempted by them will cost more than they say, do less than they say, and cause a multitude of side-effects.

Amen. I agree completely.
