That's a complete myth. Cows have the same hormones no matter what they're given, we see the exact same early onset of puberty in Europe where cows are not permitted to be given hormones as we do in the United States. It has nothing to do with the cows.

If you want to stave off early puberty, don't let your daughter get fat. That's what causes it. The female body will not start menstruating until it's physically able to handle childrearing, that's why professional gymnasts often don't hit puberty until they stop competing and put on weight.

You ought to stop listening to the myths out there and learn the reality.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

Come on. Enough with the myth busting. As I think you alluded to earlier, even scam artists need to make a living.

as do politicians and wall street financiers....right?

Marketing/advertising is the real scam. They convince us we NEED things that we don't. Before WW1, they used the word propaganda openly to describe their jobs...

Question for all of you guys, where do you get fresh pecans? The packaged pecans in the stores are usually dark, and taste like they are years old.
None of them taste or look like the ones we used to get in east Texas when I was a kid. Our neighbors had a farm in the family and used to bring us burlap bags full of the best pecans, still in the shell, of course.

I think many of you NEED to see the movie, "Food Inc."

If this country did not spend so much money subsidizing the growth of corn, we would have a healthier food supply and a healthier population. Industrial corn becomes corn syrup, ethanol and corn fed beef, pork chickens.

Corn fed animals in close quarters will become diseased and must be dosed with anti- biotics to prevent illness. Corn is an unnatural food for most animals.

Corn syrup fed people become fat and sick with diabetes, heart disease and cancer.

Soil inflicted with industrial grown corn is soon washed away and must be augmented with large amounts of chemical fertilizers.

Chemical fertilizers are made from petroleum. It is only a matter of time before oil prices go up dramatically and our industrial food system starves rather than nourishes.

I eat is it sometimes, but it's another business like anything else. It is no more or no less bull**** than any other business.

Processed food is what adversely impacts health anyway, whether it's organic or not.

Yeh, that is where the corn syrup comes in.

Also, some foods have a heavier chemical load than others. If you ever read how California strawberries are grown, you would never again buy a pint.

Maraschino cherries are my favorite story about processing....no cherry is naturally that color, so they add food coloring, but first they have to "bleach" them to take the color, and the bleaching process takes out flavor and sweetness, so they add flavor and sugar back in.
Damn things could have started out as grapes or olives for all we know...

YOU said, even scam artists need to make a living, and I responded to include other charlatans.
Advertisers/marketers/politicians/Wall street types and organic food producers, all are intent on selling us things that most of us don't need. They charge quite a bit for their services, which are seldom in our best interests financially.
A few years back a consumer group tested organics vs. regular at several stores, and even some farmer's markets. Those touting their organic methods were no less polluted with chemicals than the regular stuff.
Amazing what you can learn from Television news....

I was referring specifically to those that hawk organic food with all the claims of it being healthier.

Most of the high dollar marketing is not going to organic food or free-range chicken. When's the last time you saw a TV ad for free-range chicken eggs? Again, what do politicians and wall street financiers have to do with organic food?

If someone is stupid enough to buy seomthing they do not need simply because some marketing type tell they should, they got just what they deserve.
