H*ll yes!

I would dub myself "Cassandra, the cop" and I expect people would ask me my views on the issues of the day; I receive an invitation to be on Jon Stewart and next year I would write a tell all autobiography which would subsequently be a made for television hit. But thats just me!

The President never stated that any man was "stupid". He said that the reaction of the police was stupid.
He was just stating his opinion, and his right.
I would have done the same thing.
The police are not perfect, nor is the president.
He even took the trouble to speak directly to the policeman..
This should be the end of it.
Lets return to the important thing.
Health car and its costs.

Gates did nothing illegal. He acted abominably but not illegally.

So long as you consider breaking the law against disorderly conduct not an illegal act, you're doing fine defending your messiah and his bro'.

For the rest of us, those who understand what the word "illegal" means, that boy broke the law and got his bigoted ass hauled away, just like anyone who's not a loud-mouthed bigoted Hahvahd perfesser would have.

Who in the police department made the decision to arrest the bigot breaking the law against disorderly conduct?

Oh, yeah, it was one guy, Crowley.

Rethink your position on your Messiah's use of the national media to talk smack against the individual that made his bigoted friend look bad.

Nope. I don't go to a person's house when the only time they've ever mentioned my name is to call me and my actions stupid.

I'd certainly invite him to my house, to debate the appropriateness of what i did versus the appropriateness of what he said about what i did. It'd be his call whether or not to bring the media with him.

Yes. It would be a nice little vacation to see our nation's capitol and get a great tour of the White House.

As to the meeting with the Professor, the VP and the President I would say nothing. Just smile, drink my beer and then leave. These people are not interested in anything that I would have to say so why waste my breath. Oh, yes no interviews with the press either....to include and especially FOX.

Based on what that one man did. Thus, he called the man stupid.

He was just stating his opinion, and his right.

He was out of line, whether or not his opinion was right and his opinion was wrong on several counts.

I would have done the same thing.

This is relevant how?

The police are not perfect, nor is the president.

SERIOUSLY?!?! OMG!!

He even took the trouble to speak directly to the policeman..

Yes, and he shouldn't have. He "took the trouble" to cover his ass after he spoke out of turn. That's not "taking trouble," that's cleaning up dog **** on your front yard before the neighbors come over for burgers.

This should be the end of it.

I disagree. This should be a shining example of the sorts of mistakes Obama slips into easily. It's a warning, and it's everyone's job to heed it with concern.

Lets return to the important thing.
Health car and its costs.

Why? Obviously this sort of local minutia is more worthy of the president's time. Who are you to second guess his decisions?

I would definitely go. Even if it was Bush who insulted me.

Whenever someone accepts an olive branch, that person looks incredibly classy in my eyes.

I used to be quite vindictive before I married my husband. You wrong me, and I will hate you forever. One of the traits I love about my husband is if someone apologizes (and it's sincere), he accepts the apology and moves on. I used to think that if I did that, it would make me look weak. But it really is the opposite. It makes that person look stronger. As a result, I now accept apologies, and it's really a fantastic feeling.

That's interesting to me. I have a policy of non forgiveness. (I use my own system that works better, i think). Would you be open to discussing this on another thread?
