I did not like Palin all that much, but she is not trying to change the way America has worked for the past 200 years.

Things I liked were.

* She was republican.
* Small government.
* Morales - Even though her family has none.
* She fights back when talked about but then runs away but at least she gives it a shot.
And Obama doesn't have morals?

"Giving it a shot" won't cut it in politics. She either needs to grow thicker skin, or GTFO.

Don't see the appeal there. If I'm going to vote for a politician on the basis of moral leadership, then by the gods they had damned well better be leading. There is something inherently disturbing about avidly endorsing a policy that you, yourself, are living breathing proof of its ineffectiveness.

Very True :doh

Concern to you and his critics perhaps, but not so much for those of us who supported his agenda before he was elected. Some of the reasons I chose to support him, like federal funding for stem cell research, more resources for Afghanistan, a different approach to foreign policy that included diplomacy with our enemies, health care reform, more funding for our educational institutions, to name a few I felt were important, have met my expectations so far.

Thumbs up! Totally agree on ALLLL of that !

What no poll?

No I'm not sorry I voted for a president Obama who cares for his country as a whole and not focused on ramming his thumb up America's backside for the sake of his selfserving party.

Change is great.

Yeah, but the rest of us don't care for Kenya all that much.

This was an election of the least worst candidate from the two parties, after each party held a primary to select the least worst candidate from their own ranks-- with both parties getting their selection of "least worst" tragically wrong, and the jury still being out on the results of the general election.

In other words, the 2008 election was no different than the 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2004 elections. We got lucky in 2000 and 2004 and the worst guy didn't win, but that luck ran out again.

We really need to stop relying on luck and start demanding our politicians actually support our views.

That ain't gonna happen, not in the foreseeable future.

There was change? We still in Iraq? We still doing the secret spying on Americans, the torture, Gitmo still open? Hmmm. Spending still out of control? Deficit still skyrocketing? Government still pandering to Wallstreet? Hmmm.

This hope and change is the calling card of the partisan; Obama is relatively no different that Bush. The R changed to a D, and that's about all you got for change right there.

No.

Did you fail to notice that he's a Democrat AND a socialist?

Well the better question then is which politicians do have morals? I think if we are honest with ourselves, we would find that to be a very short list.

I predict that the most virulent Obama supporters will eventually re-register with different nicks and new e-mail addresses.

Remember, by 1950, no ordinary citizen of Germany had ever been a member of the Nazi Party.

I just imagine that the same effect will be seen in America.

The beauty of this poll, is that it can be referred to as the months go by.

Amen. I like what he's done so far, but i'd like him to be a tad more socially liberal. I want Dont Ask Don't Tell overturned, and would prefer him to drop the whole "marriage is between a man and a woman" rhetoric.

Nope. Not yet.

I predict the most virulent anti-Obama supporters will be driven mad and crazed as the years pass, and begin to flog themselves after Obama is re-elected in resoundingly decisive re-election. :sinking:

Yes, IA with that too ....

No.

This sort of meaningless name-calling empty rhetoric crap makes trying to discuss something terribly tedious.
As for the issue at hand, no, I'm not sorry to have voted for Obama. I didn't expect the messiah, I expected someone who would try to rebuild our damaged nation and Obama's been impressive and refreshing in a number of ways. Do I disagree strongly with him on a whole host of issues? Of course. But he's been a big improvement over his predecessor at the very least.

I voted for Obama with fairly low expectations, and he just about met them. He has done a little better in the foreign policy direction than I expected, and a little worse in the domestic area. Hope and change was a pipedream, I voted for him because he wasn't quite as bad as his competition.

Not at all. I voted for him, things are getting better, I'm happy. The only legislation I do not like thus far is the Cap and Trade Bill.

After seeing the results of his actions, are you sorry you voted for Obama?

I'm happy with Obama. People who say otherwise are probably confused or paranoid. Calm down people ... calm down. :)

I did not vote for him but I am just not that worried. It is more of the same as far as I am concerned.

I'm not sorry.

I sense a repeat of Bill Clinton....

The elections of 1992 and 1996 gave us a competent, rational, and above all else practical politician in the Oval Office. I would vote for a third term for President Clinton in a heartbeat.

**** Clinton that anti-constitutional intern diddler.....

He signed the assault weapons ban which is clearly unconstitutional.

Politicians get away with anything they want as long as it's "legislation".

The second ammendment only says the right to bear arms. It does not specify which type. Therefore, unless he banned all weapons, he is not in violation.
