More threads are started on Palin, or Obama?

Who in the last 2 weeks has had more threads started on them?

Why is it, that more threads are started on a former VP canidate than on a president?

Palin is way hotter.

everyone loves a train wreck.

Right now it's probably Palin but she's also "news" right now because of her announcement that she was quitting.

This is another Palin thread :2razz:

I agree. The Obama presidency is infinitely more interesting and directly dangerous to the US as a whole and individually. Palin gets play because she was the only milf and conservative target in the list of usual suspects running.
She was extra targeted by the bankers because she was also the only one not owned by them. That may have changed by now. I heard recently she was interested in cashing out and taking care of her family more than shaping up washington.

Everyones loves watching someone fall from grace. Palin is just for the medias amusement, they'll get bored and move on and same for everyone on DP

She's still hotter, though. Also, she has that one thing that Obama doesn't:

Boobs.

Speaking of kryptonite...

I just did a search over the last 2 weeks.

13 threads contain "Palin" in the title.

40 threads contain "Obama" in the title.

;)
I would like to say in the OP's defense that 'Obama' is a very common name.

People by nature like to dwell on trainwrecks and soap operas. Therefore Palin with her recent soap opera antics will be more focused on than the rather successful President Obama.

By the way..nice addition to the recent Palin thread tally.

Obama doesn't have boobs? he must be superhuman.

That sounds like a possible future thread.

Context must be considered. I we look at pure numbers, Obama wins, easily. However, he is President. Palin is an ex-governor. So, proportionally, she should be getting far fewer threads than she is, at least in my opinion.

If those were that basic generic facts reguarding the realities of the situation then yes the president should be more news worthy than a ex-governor quitter, but there are certain aspects of the situation that changes the dynamics of the story. Don't you agree?

For instance. Mavrick turns quitter.

Give it as couple of weeks she be a nothing. As she should be.

There are more Obama threads, but the Palin threads get more attention and live longer than Obama threads.

Palin supporters are fierce and relentless. I would say maybe even more loyal than Obama supporters.

Obama won and his supporters have nothing to defend. Palin on the other hand lost for several reasons. Her most diehard supporters most from the origional group that were revived during a dead in the water campaign do so for the most part IMHO so they don't have to admit they were and have been so wrong about her all along. Kinda like diehard Bush supporters. But Bush actually won something.

It really makes no sense to agrue the point that Poop doesn't stink when we all know it does.

Fierce support is not alway intelligent logical support.

Well, if you were a Governor, much less a former Vice Presidential contender, and you were bucking as hard for press coverage as she is, I expect you'd get discussed quite a bit too.

Obama realistically gets more threads but Palin gets far to many for being a has been.

I have a feeling her plan is to stay in the public eye for as long as possible. This will possibly give her a shot in 2012.

I agree with this completely.

And I don't understand why some of the debates have glorified her for stepping down to shelter her family when she's planning on going out national.
How does more media coverage remove her and her family from the spotlight?

Makes no sense to me.
