I break the law because I felt it needed breaking, not because I think I can or should be able to avoid the consequences.
    I know, I hate whiners.

Like back in the day, when slaves were caught running and received 50 lashes. How dare they whine about breaking the law. do the crime, do the time, I always say.

But seriously, when it comes to crimes where the victim is truthfully the one "breaking the law", I support them whining to their hearts content.

    Examples:

Speed limit is 25mph and you feel it should be faster so you knowingly let your self go faster then 25mph.

    Or

You download movie torrents because you think movie makers shaft consumers.

    Or

You open a beer on the drive home knowing you will not surpass the blood alcohol limit even tho you break the open container law.

Just some examples of what I know normal law abiding people occationaly do.

I don't think anyone with any smarts wants to admit to anything here more drastic than a little speeding. Not on an open Internet forum.

I have an admiration for what Heinlein said, roughly:

"I am free, no matter what laws surround me. Those laws I find tolerable, I tolerate. Those I find intolerable, I break.... Remember the eleventh commandment, Thou Shalt Not Get Caught At It."

    Fiddling While Rome Burns
    Carthago Delenda Est
"I used to roll the dice; see the fear in my enemies' eyes... listen as the crowd would sing, 'now the old king is dead, Long Live the King.'.."

Fight the law, not the punishment.
