Would You Support a Second Stimulus Package?

There is now talk coming from an Obama advisor that a second package of stimulus money may be needed.

"The United States may need a second stimulus package focusing on infrastructure projects to put the world's biggest economy firmly on the path to recovery, a top White House adviser said here Tuesday."

US may need a second stimulus: Obama adviser - Yahoo! News

The advisor stated that this was her opinion and not the official word of the Obama Administration.

Would you support this if the Obama Administration tried to do it? Why, or why not?

I believe it does concern you. Our economies are very much so intertwined.

A second stimulus package should be considered grounds for impeachment and immediate removal from office. This country cannot afford and should not tolerate a second exercise in incompetency such as the first so-called "stimulus" package.

Government stimulus does not work. Government stimulus has never worked. Government stimulus is a contradiction in economic terms.

I did not support the second stimulus, but it went through anyway, and even though neither of them worked, Obama now wants a 3rd stimulus.

You can't spend your way out of a recession: This is another reason why you weren't supposed to vote for Obama.

    The Messiah Says:

I'm going to need help in Congress to pass the Crap and Trade Scam and the Nationalized Health Care Scam, so I'm going to have to wave more pork bait around.

The reality is: the First Stimulus was nothing but pork, most of which isn't going to be spent until well into next year, so it's not stimulating anything, and more pork for later isn't going to stimulate anything either.

You folks do realize that this is 3rd stimulus, not the 2nd, right?

I would have to agree with you on this, with the Wall Street/bank/auto industry bailout being the first.

Re: Would You Support a Second Stimulus Package?

    I voted "yes."

Since nobody in a position of authority in this nation seems interested in fixing the problem, we may as well accelerate our self-destruction -- the sooner we hit rock-bottom, the sooner we can start clawing our way back to the top.
I'm already gearing up for Finger Vote 2014.

Just for reference, means my post was a giant steaming pile of sarcasm.
