I can't believe this poll is a 50/50 split. I thought this would have been a no-brainer. I wish this was a public poll so we could see who voted how. I am willing to bet the majority if not all of the no votes are Republicans.

Perhaps. I voted no. But social conservatives ignoring social conservatism to me is like saying the sky is blue. Their failures to abide to their campaign promises, while annoying aren't unexpected. Should he resign over this? Well, that depends. Do you see your governor as a moral leader or the government leader of your state?

I had this same opinion about Gavin Newsom. If your elected leader runs your state/city/country well, is poor personal life decisions reason to throw them out?

No. I could care less what people do in their personal time. But, this man neglected the state's business and abdicated his duties. That's grounds for termination in my book.

Damn if I know. Probably left it on the books, I would guess.

What would Clinton had done if he hadn't been caught? Found another fat intern when that one was filled up.

what about the mis-use of state funds for the trip?

If it was a planned business trip then why did nobody know where he was for a week?!?!

Yeah, I wouldn't call that a valid business trip to deal with the US Commerce Department.

    Re: Should Sanford resign?

My opinion is that I do not care. I do not support this guys political views, but his personal decisions are just that, personal!! If he chooses to resign, I don't care because I don't live in south carolina and I don't agree with his politics. If he does not resign I also do not care, because his personal business is none of my business.

    They were already in Brazil.....

Since we don't know the full details to what they were specifically looking for on business, we can't be certain maybe it could have been found in Argentina if not Brazil.

I don't think he should resign.

Its none of our business what he does.

And, what did he miss out on exactly? Was there something important he was supposed to do that week in his official capacity?
