Which is why we need that bankruptcy and hopefully a massive criminal investigation of our legislators to clear out the political hacks first, then we can work on rewriting our Constitution into something useful. The first thing we ought to require is a Government Accountability Office to make sure we're not wasting our money. California is the only state in the nation without one.

Not really. The Democrats are all corrupt and the California Republican Party offered up the three votes that they needed to pass the biggest tax increase in the history of America by party decree. They put up people who they felt were either defensible or termed out so it didn't matter about the backlash, but it was a party-wide decision.

Yes, ultimately it's the fault of the people for voting these morons in and not understanding the impact that their vote has on bond issues, but you have to place the blame where it also lies, with the liberal political hacks on the take.
That is why I say let it crash, the punishment that will be dealt with swift harshness.

And the particular Republicans are just as bad.
    Let's figure it out.

The first thing we have to do is destroy union power. THAT is the first thing we have to do. Second is we have to cut spending on all expenditures relating to illegal immigration.
    Let's figure it out.

Yep. It was physically and methodically choreographed. Even Chuck Devore deserves an olive.

Cut spending back to match revenue.
The idea that certain spending cannot be cut or that certain services cannot denied is unsupportable.

Have it declare bankruptcy, reorganize the state govt with 1/3 the original politicians, and 2/3 the original govt workers, only 1% of the illegal aliens and 5% of the original welfare recipients.
Give illegal aliens a one way non-refundable bus ticket out of the country.
Give workfare to the welfare recipients who are able to work....minimum of 25 hours a week doing whatever little jobs need to be done.

Perhaps the Lex Luther proposal will work.

"Por que son blanco y negro estos autobuses?" Jose said to Jose as he was placed in handcuffs.
