No I do not believe in love at first sight. I do, however, believe in intense lust at first sight.
 
Perhaps I am different then most people. Perhaps Im not *shrugs*. These type conversations dont come up in my normaly daily life. But I believe I am different when it comes to love. I am a person that love does not come easily to. I do not love my mother which I haven't spoken to in 8 years or my brother which I havent spoken to in 14 years. People will ask me "how can you not love your own mother?". My question to them is why must I love her just because she is my mother? She was not a good mother and she is someone I choose not to care about or have in my life.

I found that dating women is also a challenge for me. It is very difficult for me to grow to love them. I have only loved one women (gf) in my life and that took a very long time to happen. I have come to care for some to a degree but I wouldnt call it love. I just generally do not like people lol and prefer to stay away from them.

I can honestly say that I can count all the people I have loved in my life on one hand.
 
All my sexual life I was a dignified "player", women were not unknown to me.

I never loved any, I respect all that came into my arms.

Then at 48 yrs of age, I set eyes on my wife to be, that right hook was the best and only one that has ever hit me.

My love for my wife knows no domain:)

I have never really experienced love. I have, however, experienced great feelings of affection. For example, my current crush: I met her one day, and walked by after saying Hi. Nothing. After sometime, as I got to know her, I started liking her. I think that's the way it works.

There are however, several women who have fit the bill of "I'd watch her pee, just to see where it came from." I don't know if thats love though.....

I seem to attract the right type of guys: Trusting, affectionate, loving, sexual (although Jarrett wasn't after a year), clean, funny, loyal men.

But love at first sight? Maybe when I was still in Junior High, but sure as hell not anymore.

I follow Psychology's Rules of Attraction: Proximity, Similarity, and physical attraction.

I like my men overweight/chubby. :p He has to handle me right, and I'm a big girl too. lol (German over here :2wave: )

I believe in love at first sight. I will also say it is very, very rare.

It has only happend to me one time in my life. I am still married to her and will be until one of us dies.
 
No I do not believe in love at first site. Its lust at first at first site. Many people confuse the two.
 
I would like to believe in love at first sight. I have heard of many people who have experienced it for themselves. But im a pretty shallow person and i only go for people who are good looking and only care to engage in a relationship with such people. Its not something i am proud of because love with anybody is a magical thing but its my curse i guess. And its a shame because i am pretty lonely in the sense that i have never really loved anyone and nobody has really ever loved me.

I have mentioned a terrible aspect about living together with women over longer periods ... they tend to get older. ;)

No worries, my friend. I used to have the same story as you. I was very shallow and always finding excuses to break-up with the women I was dating. It was so bad at one point, that I was making-out with a woman and she had bad breath, so I excused myself and never called her again. I would go to holiday parties and see all of my friends with their longtime girlfriends and wives and felt very alone, and upon reflection of my live realized that I was being an idiot about my expectations of partners. Then, I made the resolution to give love a real chance and it was well worth it. I have been with the same woman for 7-years now and I am very glad to have made the change in my life. Marriage is very, very hard, but when you find that person that completes your life, that is the ying to your yang, you will feel this peace that is worth holding on to. Hang in there!;)

Great to see like minded people on here friend. I find it really hard finding people though and find it really difficult to get with people or find people that like me. Hopefully some day ill strike lucky, though :mrgreen:
