Do you use any form of tobacco?
Cigarettes, cigars, chew, etc.

I am curious...

I smoke, I know it's bad for me, and I am not quitting.

Fair enough. I'm not advocating either side.

But, I'm just wondering:
How do you feel about higher taxes on tobacco? Do you feel taken advantage of?

I don't like it for purely selfish reasons. I think if you are going to do sin taxes, you need to tax all sins equally.

No tobacco products usage for me, and I believe the tobacco tax raises to be silly and foolish.

In the UK you can no longer smoke indoors so as far as im concerned nobody should ever bother me again about it.If i was fat random people wouldnt come up and complain about what im "doing to my body" so leave me alone.

Yeah I smoke on and off, for the past 15 years.

I'm not bothered by the tax hike but hear a lot of romanticising the past lower prices by some. I agree with others about sin taxes, if you tax one, you should tax all, and possibly even open up some other markets, such as marijuana.

I smoke off and on, mostly on though. The sin tax sucks and is simply the government telling me what is best for me.

I've been known to enjoy a fine cigar on occasion. ;)

Tried it a few times when still young, but got called on being just a puffer.
Inhaling made me barf....immediately. A few friends told me I wasn't trying hard enough.
So I quit right after I started, as barfing is not something I like to do...

I smoke cigars, pipes and cigarettes, chew tobacco, and use both snus and snuff.

I'm trying to quit the chewing tobacco :2razz:

I think the tobacco taxes are great. It's how the poor pay for their burden on society, and the taxes punish the Obama voters, too.

That's a good point, I agree with that.

I've had one cigarette. Just experimenting as a teenger, that's all. It gave me a headache.

Although I do admire females who smoke though.

Non-smoker/non tobacco user here.

When we get married you will have no time to chew anything but me, all your problems will vanish like the puff you smoke. S W A L K

I smoke about 10 fags a day

Ouch, i'm not that addicted but i do smoke.

It has been made more annoying by it being banned in public places and this idea being put forward of it being banned in the car.

I support a massive increase of the price of cigarettes, because smoking has a cost to society.

It provokes cancers among both smokers and non-smokers. That costs a lot of money. Those who are the cause should pay for the consequences.

I do not smoke around people who do not. How am I causing non-smokers to have cancer?

For the rest, is that not true to some extent of almost all sin type products?

You do get a thanks for your post, but that is just to bump up your count.
