If we have, you lost.

You made that up! Saying, "It's A Live!" does not a winning argument make. It is called repetition with nothing else to say or back-up your claims. Though as entrenched as you are in your position, no evidence would make a difference.

You saying it's not?

"A life"?

No.

"Alive"?

Yes.

Do learn English, it's the language of the modern world.

Wow.. you were just saying that the clump of cells in a woman's uterus was a life.

Now you're just saying that it's "alive".

Back peddle much?

Are you claiming a fetus isn't a living organism?

By what scientifically valid standard?

Read English much? Are you capable of defining the difference in the concepts of "a life" and "life"?

Don't bother to answer, your post made your inability plain.

Is cancer a "life"?

I can't wait for your response.

So now it's 'a "life" ', and not " 'a life' "?

Are you so inept as the proper uses of English that you continue to insist on making these mistakes out of ignorance, or is it a deliberate effort on your part to pretend to be so ignorant?

Yes. Cancer is alive.

Cancer is not a human organism.

Ya got that distinction figured out?

I wanted to come back to this quickly and thank every one who discussed this without rancor. There were some great discussions within this thread to my mind, and I learned alot.

I wish we could have more discussions with people we disagree with, where we discuss how we believe as much as what we believe.

Thank you again guys.

The world will have reached a consensus on religion long before the two sides of this debate have meaningful discourse.

It used to be a 60/40 split in favor of pro-life but has evened out to roughly 50/50 with most poles showing a slight lead to pro-choice. I don't see a major swing in either direction anytime soon either. This debate is a continuous uncivilized turning of the wheel with both sides unwilling and unable to back down even an inch.

most poles showing a slight lead to pro-choice. .

So that's what the Poles say? What do other Eastern Europeans think?

I don't cede the rights of a state to the Feds ever. It's the only way to preserve any at all. The problems with the proponents of abortion is that they want those against to in part finance something which is abhorent to them. Also, they want to require doctors to perform abortions even though it is the antithesis of the Hippocratic oath and/or is religiously banned. It is an inconvenient truth that a viable fetus with a heartbeat is life. That inconvience is not reason to end that constitutionally guaranteed life.

I was referring to US based poles. Abortion

The intent of my post was not to take sides on the issue, at least not at this time. I was attempting to show that this particular debate is split almost straight down the center. No matter how often one side shouts "it's murder" because they define human murder as the destruction of a few cells the other side isn't gonna buy it because murder for them requires a degree of self awareness (and I don't mean just the potential for awareness either) .

Yes this is an oversimplification, but it is one of the main reasons why the two sides can never come to a compromise.

I guess that's just how you role.;)

Was that a misspelling or a clever play on words?

Both.
(hon, it's poll--not 'pole' when talking about surveys:happy:)
I'm sorry--I was teasing you.
