I am a radical
I am a liberal
I am a conservative
I am a reactionary
The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet the Makeout Hobo, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).
(Minor quibble, I know, but hey, it's Friday)
I'm a conservative in this sense. I prefer to see change occur incrementally because I believe when too much is gained too fast, things have a much greater chance of spinning out of control and undoing any good that has been gained. I look at the how the Roman Empire turned out and I shudder.
But a system that requires constant tinkering would also be a system that is constantly broken, would it not?
I would be a reactionary. I would like to see us return to a time when the constitution meant something to the people. Today, the left and the right has done all they could to butcher it. And We the people are rapidly loosing what we have fought and died for, Our Freedoms.
I have found that Liberals are weak. They are unable and unwilling to look evil in the eye, and deal with it-Instead, they are drawn to today’s ideological butchers like a moth is to flame.
I'm very hard to place in the scheme of things the OP has set up. I want quite a different society and gov't to the one Britain has now but one stressing the heritage and traditions of the past and above all decentralised, with a lot less big gov't and big business power and more localism, regionalism and traditionalism.

"It is written in the eternal constitution that men of intemperate minds cannot be free. Their passions forge their fetters." - Edmund Burke
I am watching our government fail us. I see that the only time that they pay any attention to the people s when they are begging for our votes.
We attack sovereign nations just because we have a president that wants to.
We are governed by idiots that tell us days before the econmy goes in the toilet that it is just fine.
It is time to let socialism evolve ot of this failing system. It is the right time. I guess that would be a radical change.

The big majority of Americans, who are comparatively well off, have developed an ability to have enclaves of people living in the greatest misery without almost noticing them.

The illegal we do immediately. The unconstitutional takes a little longer.

Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no
account be allowed to do the job.
-- Douglas Adams
Those are ridiculous definitions, by those definitions, *EVERYONE* has to be a liberal because *EVERYONE* knows that we need to make changes from time to time. Luckily, that's not what liberalism is, any more than your definition for what conservative is remotely accurate.
I'm a conservative in the classical sense, fiscally and socially.
