Why isn't it reasonably priced? Do you steal cars that aren't reasonably priced? I think Phantoms aren't reasonably priced. Yet you won't find me trying to hot wire one.

No, not silly, You just have to read what I wrote in reply to another person's post.

Or perhaps did you mean you correcting the price of the program? Silly? Maybe. Definitely ridiculous of you though, since it's $69.99

That would explain why most people just download it for free using a torrent. I get it now ^_^

Can you download a Phantom in torrent form from the net without paying money?

Maybe, but assembly would be difficult.

When I was 16 and just getting into photography I originally considered buying this program, then I saw the price and I downloaded it. I don't regret this decision. My photography skills have gotten a lot better as well as my photoshop knowledge.

    Indeed.
Gimp is 10x the editing program photoshop ever thought of being.

    1. It's free.
    2. See number 1, you do not have to pirate it and force the price up even further.
    3. All images I've created for this site were done in Gimp.
    4. It is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux - do not need a powerhouse of computer to run it.
    5. "Plugins" or scripts are easier to make and Gimp has a huge library of them - which are also free.
You can also download a plugin that lets you use photoshop plugins too! Oh my!

    Let's see...

A standard Windows program vs a good and useful program geared towards professionals.

    What's the mystery?

I use PSP, it does what I need it to do and I've never had any reason to move up to PS so I don't. I'd never pay $1000 for any piece of software, I'd sell my computer first, so I suppose it really doesn't matter.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

Of course it is. Each version of Photoshop has a development process off about 3 to 4 years and involves the input of industry professionals in dozens of fields. PaintShopPro is a $120 imitation with nowhere near the power of Photoshop. This is the equivalent of comparing LaCoste to alcohol.
