No. If it is this way now, it should be changed. That's wrong and unfair to the American people.
 
No; we'd like to think that we as a nation are beyond things such as corruption, and we'd like to put the idea that we aren't away with the crazy suppositions and delusions. This isn't the case; corruption is real in every government, and we must remain vigilant perpetually.

I agree. Just watch the changing mentality on how people treat issues of debate of this type....just watch the mods on how they are at the ready to throw any topic like this in the conspiricy section.....??????
 
There are plenty of government "conspiracies" that happen every day. The problem is that they are mostly minor things like diverting funds, giving contracts to friends or bribery. The problem with the conspiracy theory forum is that you are too theatrical in your ideas. Elaborate plots with large numbers of people and vast coverups just aren't realistic.
 
Accusation without a shred of real evidence is "conspiracy theory," especially the grander the accusation.
 
There are large cover-ups and theatrics all the time in Government politics. However, there's a line between "scandal du jour" and "Conspiracy Theory". A scandal involves more than just speculation.

Exactly. If these bozos can't even bribe each other without getting caught, they certainly couldn't mastermind the 9/11 hijackings and fire a cruise missile into the Pentagon to whip up support for war without getting caught. Real-world conspiracies are never as sexy as the Weekly World News conspiracies.

The basic difference between conservatives and liberals, in my opinion, is that liberals have a flawed understanding of human nature. They tend to believe in Utopian fantasies.

Some of this artificial remodeling started with Margaret Mead, who sailed off to the tropics with an agenda: to prove to her family that a woman didn't have to get married and have children.

Not surprisingly, her "findings" followed that theme. Mead was so dense, she didn't even realize it when teen girls in Samoa were putting her on - and she left believing that going through puberty in that part of the world, was no big deal!

This model - that there are hardly any gender differences, and we're all just as nice as care bears inside - has caused massive trouble.

If humans are inherently kind, cooperative, gentle and non- aggressive, they would need one type of government;

If they are inherently selfish, status-oriented, envious, and occasionally violent, they would need another type.
