Should we ban anyone being involved in secret groups from the Presidency?

Should threre be a ban on allowing anyone become President that is proven to be a member of a secret group like "Skull and Bones" or whatever.

I believe that being involved in secret groups other than official American Politics opens the door for our government to be infiltrated and manipulated.

What are your thoughts?

Is this a prelude to a "Freemasons and illuminati are controlling the world" conspiracy theory?

No just a thought on how I believe people who belong to groups where names and activities and goals are secret should be considered a security risk to our government and direction of our country.

I voted no. Who would give them their marching orders if that was banned?

Whatever happened to "freedom of assembly"?

I hope Obama plays WoW

That would make it so much funnier. This Skulls and Bones **** is just depressing.

He strikes me like more of an axis and allies player. red side. Comes out swinging.

Hes a banker ho though. Sad.

If you're a member of a secret Communist organization, then you shouldn't be president.

If they are in a secret group, how would we know?

I don't like secret clubs --- and I do not like politicians who belong to secret clubs.

It just seems to me that those politicians are using their posts to serve their clubs.

I guess ... the parties in general could be called secret clubs .... in the same way Area 51 and Kapustin Yar are secret military installations.

Exactly. Whereas, I am surprised the thread has yet made it to the conspiracy theory forum, I think it's only because no one has yet to take the topic seriously.

I have a question though. If a "club" (and by that I assume it to include fraternaties as well, by definition) is "secret" would we be able to learn and read about them online? What about looking them up in the phone book? If they have a big sign on their meeting place, would that exempt them from being "secret?"

Besides the "Skull and Bones" college club, what other "clubs" is the thread topic referring to exactly?

We would not know... and they would be free to serve their secret club instead of the American people.

Excellent question.

Would Halliburton, Schlumberger, Brown and Root/Kellogg, or <fill in oil-industry conglomerate here> classify as a secret club? I think they should if we are to go with Vader's valid line of thought. For surely, the last President served his personal loyalties well.

You mean like the Democrat Party? That's an example of a secret communist organization, as opposed to the CPUSA, which is an open communist organziation.

Seriously, how is Skull and Bones different than any other Fraternity type organization?

And if its not, are you saying people that are part of fraternities should be exempt? A great many of our Presidents were former fraternity members I believe. Do you think all of them were manipulated by some secret group?

Does this include Masons and Shriners and Knights of Columbus?

It used to be that most men belonged to these sorts of fraternal groups.

whats secret anymore????? if one is a member and you know about it....it aint a secret nomo:mrgreen:
