No.I am also against piercings.Any cosmetic modifications on a minor should be prohibited.Sure there are some exception like to repair a birth defect or deformity like a cleft palate, skin tag or some other birth defect or deformity. Another exception with be deformity caused by a accident or disease. I believe in parents rights but they shouldn't include making cosmetic modifications to a child's body such as tattoos, piercings or something similar when it is not needed.

What if it's for religious reasons?
Nope. Its one thing to make your child go to attend religious school, sunday school on sundays or vacation bible school during the summer and it is another to add a physical modification to a child's body that the child can not change(until that child can afford tattoo removal surgery) against their will when it is not necessary.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

I cannot think of a single health condition that can be treated with a tattoo!

Naturally agree wholeheartedly

I think the Hindu's do this...an attempt to forever brand their children as the same religion...
If the parents really loved their children, tattoos would be unthinkable.
Nor should they tattoo themselves as so-called adults - for this I am branded as a bigot.....

Do you have a few examples on parents wanting to tattoo their children?

There are certain skin conditions such as skin pigmentation disorder that is or can be corrected through the use of tattooing.
