Re: For those who love, or hate, Obama.

Obama is like a chef who is preparing a hot and hearty skunk & thistle stew that will disgust us and make us sick.

Those who support him don't know what he is cooking. They think whatever he prepares will taste good and be good for us. All they know is they like him and trust him.

The numbers of those who know what he's cooking grow in size every day.

    Power grabbing.
    Socialism.
    Big Brotherism.

It's too bad there isn't one signature item that can be pointed to which would illustrate any of the threats his administration poses to America.

But in terms of the O.P. where Bush did or didn't do things in a way which we agreed or disagreed with, Obama is changing the framework of government and our society. For the worse.

At least Bush wasn't a threat to our very system.

No choice of value is given...
But I do lean toward Obama...and I'd be embarrassed to be a Republican right now..

That position is completely indefensible at this point.

Re: For those who love, or hate, Obama.

    It's not "hate".

To me 'hate' is often overused and usually is an emotional reaction that has little to do with logic.

    There are instances it applies.
I said I hate the left for how it treated the troops during Iraq and Vietnam.
I don't know if it's hate but the bad blood runs deep.

    As for Obama:

It's a disdain for who he is and what he stands for.
What he is doing based on his beliefs.

    Nothing more.
I'm sure he wouldn't be a bad guy to play golf with, drink a brew with, smoke a fattie with (if you do that type of thing), and even carp about politics.

As President he is "Unit for Command".
I disgree with so much, but did like what I heard about education.
His record with Ayers on that is abysmal, so I wonder about this in the long run too.

I don't hate socialists (celtilord bear with me).
    I have many as friends.
Most don't know their wishes are inferior, costing more and delivering significantly less and at a snails pace.
These people you can help. The "typical" lib under 30.
It's the ideologues that can't face facts that I cannot understand.
    I don't hate them.
I simply cannot fathom a healthy brain can logically ignore the obvious.
That's why I asked where socialism has been successful.

There was ONE good example. The military is one too, but it is constitutional and the cornerstone of our freedom.

    Have a great weekend.

    Cheers... to the lefties too.

Obama will make Bush look pretty good.
Bush was successful with the War on Terror.
Bush anticipated Americans might tire of it, but he wouldn't. He didn't.
He got some pretty hard hits; lesser men would have crumbled.
    Hail to the Chief!

More accurately, Bush was a dedicated servant to elite special interests and the 'wall street gang' as well as to the military industrial complex.... well above and beyond how dedicated he was to public interests.

I do really want to like Obama... I really do, but what is absolutely terrifying is in the things that he ANNOUNCES that he's going to do, He's going to continue to do his work that will undoubtedly bankrupt the nation, so we can lower our standard of living enough that we would no longer object to a one world government.

Even worse is that fear I have that Obama's popularity will slip, and the establishment WILL resort to another 'pearl harbour' style attack that will completely end any objections to his power, allow for martial law in america, the destruction of the rest of what makes us a free country, and leave us like the major big bankers have done to countless other THIRD world countries.

While it's true that there is a group of 'Obama-zombies' that will blame the rest of the population WHEN his policies bankrupt the nation saying that it is EVERYBODY ELSE's fault for not falling in line behind the savior.

Regardless of Obama's intentions, deep down he knows that he's a bought and paid-for puppet of the same people that bought and paid for Bush, Clinton, Nixon... actuallly, the last REAL president this country had was JFK... look what happened to him for being such an idealist.

Like KRS-One says in an interview : "This country was on the verge of a REAL REVOLUTION, and then they throw a black man up and everyone lets their guard down."

I could find countless quotes about the END-goal of globalization... the same globalization that Obama AND BUSH's worked towards (among countless others each playing their parts) that when the world succumbs to this 'new order' there WILL be a population reduction globally of somewhere between 50% up to what the 'georgia guidestones' state "a world population of 500 million people living in balance with nature in perpetuity.' (That's what 90% reduction?)

(Don't think that that many people might die... ask yourself, if the grocery stores ran our of food... how long would YOU survive?)
