    Obama governing from the middle?

Commentary: Obama driving down middle of the road - CNN.com

In this CNN article, Ruben Navarette says that Obama is actually a centrist now.

I really don't know. I mean he facing opposition from both sides at the moment.

Watch the results of this poll, I may be wrong, but of course the conservatives will say no and the liberals will say yes. If that happens, isn't it just another sign that he is NOT a centrist?

    What do you think?

This is what happens when you don't work with only one party on everything. You get labeled a "centrist" and questioned on your judgment and loyalty.

The two major issues that one can judge the administration on so far are the stimulus and the spending bill. If you're talking conservative vs liberal both have been decidedly liberal. If you're talking republican rather than conservative, however, the past eight years and the proliferation of neocons mean that Obama's moves have not been all that far from the right. One can only hope that the fact that the same policies are coming from the left will drive the right back on track.

So far he's been pretty liberal (compared to the average person)...but his presidency is only a month old, and there's only one thing to judge him on: The stimulus bill. While it was certainly left-of-center compared to what Americans are historically accustomed to, it was considered very timid by a lot of economists.
