Who Supported the GM Bailout, But Doesn't Own a GM Car?

    This'll be interesting.

Who supported the government stealing taxpayer dollars to keep the union Democrats in Michigan and elsewhere employed at GM when they themselves did not buy a GM product?

Also, so vote twice, if you supported the bailout, are you promising to buy the new GM cars?

In who's interest is it to have a few thousand Americans on the street without jobs?
I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality. - MLK

The interest of the people who don't want to bailout politically connected companies because they're dying from incompetency.

The whole reason companies are supposed to be allowed to die natural deaths is because that's how nature disposes of the inefficient and weak.

Why should someone who doesn't want to buy a GM be forced to well, buy GM?

I owned a business. It failed. Should I have petitioned the government to give me money to keep it running? No. That's morally wrong.

Anyways, please vote in the poll, choosing one in the first four and one in the last four.

If those people need "jobs", we'll contract to build a canal from Lake Michigan to Lake Ponchartrain, and give them spoons.

I don't support bailing GM out persay. I'm not opposed to giving them a little short-term assistance, to be paid back in 18 months ahead of all other debts, until the economic smoke clears. More as a make-work project than anything else.

But I'm definitely opposed to constant cash infusions to GM. When the economy recovers (or even when the recession becomes less severe), GM should be allowed to go bust. Its products are simply no longer competitive.

Yes, I Own a GM, I Did Not Support the Bailout.

I don't think failure should be rewarded. If you are running a company, you should see the big picture and be able to restructure or rebuild your company before something happens. Obviously the employees who are there day to day should also be able to see the company is not headed in the right direction and get out before the ship sinks and takes them down with them. If you are blind to that or just stupid, them you don't deserve to be bailed out by the government.
Is what you're living for today, worth dying for tomorrow?
