Is Jindal the new face of the GOP?

Watching Obama's speech, i have to admit he is quite a motivating speaker. His part on education was nothing short of amazing. Following his address to congress, CNBC aired a republican response by Bobby Jindal.

He is young, of Indian decent, and easily rivals Obama from an oratory standpoint.

My question: Is Bobby Jindal the new face of the GOP?
It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion.

It might be too early to tell, but it is possible.

Speaking of President in and President out, if Jindal beats Obama in 2012...

My god..... President in President out.

Jindal was probably the most laughably terrible speaker I've ever heard/seen. I invited my apolitical roommate in and we had a laugh over it.

He would be the absolute perfect candidate if he hadn't had a "religious awakening."

I agree he was awful. But the things he did badly, enunciation and sing-songy speech can be fixed. So can the choice of setting, which was poor.

I bet the temperature was not helping either.

Re: Is Jindal the new face of the GOP?

You guys are gonna hate this, but it's crossed my mind that Jindal is The GOP's Obama, as it were. Sorry. He could be a big deal in a couple of years. He shares a number of qualities with our current chief: He's sharp, he's young, he's a writer, he's non-caucasian. He's hip, in a way. He's got a relatively clean record, I think, but then blemishes have a way of making themselves known when one walks into the spotlight. He's a little rough around the edges right now, but if the GOP decides that he's their man, he'll have plenty of time to clean up.

I've had a tough time accepting the rationales for a Palin-lead GOP, but I could see Jindal at the helm of the vangaurd. He should be careful of potentially over-exposing himself too soon.
