nah, hypocrisy would be if I was judging him personally for it. I was just answering his question. Right to privacy.

Which of these things -- these exercises of a right -- should the government not be allowed to require being made public, once exercised.

Please be sure to say why.

I voted for everything except abortion because no where in the Constitution does it say abortion is a right. Being part of a religion or hating a particular group is part of the first amendment and owning an gun and having a concealed weapon( so the idea of having a permit for something that is a right is absurd) is part of the 2nd amendment. Rights do not come from the government so they have no business restricting or attaching strings to rights on law abiding citizens.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

What's the purpose of this poll?

    The poll question is illogical.

Not so much. Some states require that the names of CCW holders be published. There is a threat to that effect in the Breaking News section.

    Thank you.

Like I said -- I am almost OK with requiring a license for a gun under the same -cirumstances- as requiring a driver's license.

    [abortion] Not published.
    Thank you,

Sure as hell hope that the "hate the government" list never gets made. I don't need to be on another list.

And guns should not be licensed in the least. There shouldn't even have to be CCW or open carry laws. You should naturally be able to open or conceal carry without the permission of the government.

I'm not sure I understand the question. Do you mean the government should not be able to publish information about people exercising these rights?

The question asks if the government should, as a provision of rht eexercise of that right, be able to require that the names of people who chose to exercise a right be published.
