What's a soul? And what is it comprised of? How does it travel?

Life energy store inside a body battery.

Floating stuff inside other sometimes non floating stuff.

Thru Miss Cleo.

No one can possibly know.

One can debate this forever, but never reach a conclusion.

It is just impossible to know, just as impossible that it is to prove the negative

as it doesn't exist, it can't go anywhere.

The ONLY TRUE answer in your poll is "I don't know." Because nobody truly knows if we, in fact, have a soul or if there is, in fact, a God or Heaven or Hell or whatever.

Let's go with the premise that we have a soul. Then I suppose it goes back to where ever it was before you were born.

But I don't know. Neither does anybody else. They will claim that they know, but that's just a proposterous claim.

But this question has made religion a very lucrative industry.

To disneyland if it's smart!

There are NO lines for the intangible!

I believe that the soul is like the electricity of the body. I believe when we die that our soul returns to it's source. That is why I believe in reincarnation. But there was no option for that so I put don't know. Someone should have put an "other" option.

Hello Ron. Pleased to meet ya. :2wave:

I'll be in your neck of the woods in a couple o' weeks!

Tarpon Springs, actually. But I'm sure I'll wreak havoc over at Clearwater Beach too!

Welcome to DP.

Something is missed here, If the soul is the electricity of the body, that means that after the electricity is down and the person is dead, where does the soul recharge its electricity from ?

Try to add "I think" before every poll option.

I think we ALL have WAY too much time on our hands.

First let me preface by saying this is all a hypothesis but I think that souls are the energy of life. I don't know if you believe in G-d, but it is my belief that all "spiritual energy" or "Souls" are part of a great lifeforce on earth. That energy goes into every living thing. I think that's why Hindus believe in reincarnation (that's why I do). It also could be some people believe in past lives or ghosts (emotions from this spiritual energy manifest in memories or hauntings). I think that if this theory were true than people never truly "DIE" but are recycled throughout existance and only the body ceases to exist. But with the body goes the conscienceness, thus no vibrant memory of "past lives". But the "soul" lives on and on. At least that's the theory. What about you? Any theories?

I do believe in God's Judgement (Heaven and Hell). Although I respect all other theories, but I think that the soul goes back from where it came, God.
Principals are built according to beliefs, so I keeps doing good and be a hard worker as much as I can.

I don't disagree. I believe we go back to G-d. I don't believe in hell, per se. But I do believe in justice.

Where does the soul go?
Contemplate it.
But don't base your life on it.
I know what I feel though.
I feel there is an entity of pure truth. I refer to it as The One that is All Truth.
And for some reason I think there no entity of all false. For once everyone figures out truth, false will become absolutely nothing.
I find comfort in the words of the Christian Savior but its all I really know.
But I also say you must save yourself.
Saviors never die for your sins.
They die because of them.
They die because you are not willing to give them up.
And this is the way for the net to catch the most to those that have fully thought it through.
To truly spread the seed that truly grows. A seed that will survive the lies.

In time I feel that instead of seeing the God in their book talking to them through life, they will see the God that wrote all the books. And I think the humans that will inherit the earth are those that see through it and chose love beyond any bounds. Books and all.

I also feel for some reason as if the very earth itself has a conscious to meet our cumulative own. Maybe even the sun. Or at least it would be cool if they did.
Once the day of the ending of my body comes I hope my soul travels through some part of the earth and through the sun into somewhere in the heavens. And I hope I get to talk to the earth and the sun on the way there.

Id be like, "Hey Sun.. Thanks for all your warmth and shinning and stuff.... That was really cool.. Thanks bro."

Or what if "God" wanted to fully know itself and divided itself into its most basic form of free will and became ourselves. So in the end we could not be mad at the trails we are put through for it was always just us hurting ourselves. And hopefully after refining it enough only the good part of ourselves is left.

This is the stuff I truly enjoy talking about.

So where do you think bad people will go ?

It appears that there are a variety of believes I didn't expected, I should have added the "other" option.
