it kind of depends how they were framed, but the way they've been presented here I don't think they're racist
And why does your tone suggest that you do not care about children?

I think you just made a blanket statement and he sees it as racist. Inherently I do not think it is, but it does sound like a generalization. For this reason it sounds bigoted, but not racist in my opinion.

Since he's talking about the state of Africa's economy and people and not India, it wasn't racist. It is fact.

I've tried arguing with my teacher, but he still cited me for racism, but I want to ask you, are those comments REALLY RACIST?

I see nothing racist in them.

Oh yes, I am truly sorry if I have offended anyone reading this.
As others have stated, it wasn't accurate to use language that insinuates that all Africans are chronically poor rather than many are chronically poor. But that's sort of splitting hairs at this point. On the face of it I don't see any racism in your comments, but I have to say your lack of context has also sort of put me on Defcon 3. If I'm wrong I'll happily stand down.

Wouldn't it be more 'continentism' as opposed to 'racism' since their are all kinds of races in Africa? Or is Africa now a race?
Is what you're living for today, worth dying for tomorrow?

A top grade for writing ?
I guess the schools are becoming easier than they were in my day..

    Racism in your remarks ?
    Probably.
We must study man a lot more and learn why some "tribes" are more successful and why....
Simply making the observation is not racist; but then, why was it made ?
The Africans , compared to us, may be poor, but why ?
Is it climate, or their environment ?
Do they consider themselves to be "poor" ?

I'd converse with the teacher, ask him, why ?
Do research on "racism"....this word is probably over-used by the average joe...
