Which is the best TV series?

My 10 favorites are:
Rome(extraordinary fantastic)
Deadwood(insane)
Lost
Heroes
Scrubs
American dad(funniest show)
24(all seasons are quality) - season 7 i fabulous.
Seinfeld

Actually, thats just 8 shows I like really well..

Its impossible to make a fair poll with so many shows, so I am just going to add the 9 biggest shows(serious ones, not comedy shows even if they can be best), vote, and/or mention your own favorite series of all categories.

I am confused as hell at what you are trying to say. Are they rules for us to follow???

In anycase, I enjoy:
Lie to Me* (great new show, until they run out of ideas I guess)
American Idol (guilty pleasure)

That's the only two shows I watch.

Wow.. Really? I watched like one season of idol, it wasn't the best of show, but interesting, then afterwards it got predictable, repetitive and boring in my opinion.. Thats not American idol, but the Norwegian version.

Same with the "talent" show, which was the same as idol, just general talents, same with "shall we dance".. Cool the first season.

I don't really watch that much TV. The only show that I actually watch every episode is South Park. Occasionally I'll tune in for The Daily Show, but not very often. And I like random Family Guy clips.

If we're including shows that are no longer running, I think Seinfeld and The West Wing are both very good.

Daily show? Jay Leno?

I prefer Letterman, but its not my favorite type of format. Haven't seen west wing.. Hmmz.

I enjoy Seinfeld...it's a nice break from my almost full time business face, and research!

Since we aren't including comedies, I have to say Dog Whisperer.

Never thought I would like a cartoon? I didn't for very long when I was a kid either.

But I really like how the South Park episodes make fun of real life current events!:2razz:

I don't really watch TV, but whenever I get the option mine are something like this (if I had a choice to watch anything at anytime I wanted to).

The West Wing
Family Guy
Sopranos
Entourage
The Office

We do not include comedies in the poll only, since there are limited number of options. But in the thread they are included..

Okay, Southpark and That 70's Show. Titus was great too. Daily Show and The Colbert Report.

I forgot to include Weeds for a serious show.

Top Gear
Mock the week
Hell's Kitchen
The 'F' word
Red dwarf
Family Guy
Simpsons
Smallville!
American Dad

Buffy the Vampire Slayer was the best show that's ever ever been on TV.

CSI
House
Prison Break

Why do all the terrorists appears in the 24 series are Middle Easterns :thinking

The only defect for me in that awsome series

To me, Seinfeld was the best show ever, hands down. The humour is still as strong now as it was then, as it has not dated itself one iota. And talk about pop culture... I still routinely use and hear "Seinfeldisms" all of the time.

In season 7 they are Africans!! An African country and its rebel government who does terrorism in the US to affect US decisions on going to war against their country.

Seinfeld is just an iconic TV series. I bought some of the DVDs and keep watching Seinfeld to this day.. Aside from Magnum, its the only old tv show that I can view over and over again..

American dad was a great "observational humor" tv series, for the two first seasons.. Then after they became kind of washed out, and apparently on order of Fox had to stop their jokes about the typical American "terrorism paranoid" guy. Shame really, the two first seasons of American dad was amazing, now the series has become mediocre, when they no longer can make fun of the reality as it has become in the US.
The dad has turned from being a paranoid prejudice prick into becoming a soft pop/simple humor figure.

Flight of the Concords is currently the best show on TV.

And if we include old shows, Monty Python's Flying Circus must be #1.

American TV is simply the world's best
Forget the IMO, and I think.
Even with far too many obnoxious commercials, and many second rate shows and far too much special effects(violence). We just do it better...
But there are some European and Japanese movies every bit as good..,mainly as they are different .
These I used to watch on TCM, but as they have switched to digital.....
MZ's selection is European........
History
National Geographic
Discovery
PBS, a little
Regular shows bore me, unless I catch a rare good one...
Our TV could be better..
