    Rome
    24
    House
    Weeds
    Dexter
    Scrubs
    Lost
    and
    South Park

They are hands down the best shows on TV now.

Unfortunately Rome isn't on anymore but it should be on the list.

    Father Ted
    Ab Fab
    The Royle Family

Basically the best and some of the best sitcoms ever.

The books did focus on the problems of everyday life and mutant powers. The mutants were everyday people before they got their powers, just like Heroes.

Everything Heroes has done was already done in the X-men stories and other superhero stories. Please point out one thing that is unique about Heroes.

    My 10 favorites are:
    Rome(extraordinary fantastic) what's that?
Deadwood(insane) never heard about that one
Lost I think I've seen half an episode 2 or 3 years ago
    Heroes ???
    Scrubs what?
American dad(funniest show) isn't it a kind of family guy?
24(all seasons are quality) - season 7 i fabulous. is that the story of the dude who tries to escape a jail?
    Seinfeld never heard

Actually, thats just 8 shows I like really well..

Its impossible to make a fair poll with so many shows, so I am just going to add the 9 biggest shows(serious ones, not comedy shows even if they can be best), vote, and/or mention your own favorite series of all categories.
    What if I don't have a TV?

When I was young I loved Mr Bean. The simspons & family guy are fun too, but Mr Bean > everything else

Lost on the other hand is still great, and in my opinions has the best actors of any tv series.
I completely disagree that lost is better, man had you saw the first season ? They can get anything they want by making a little nonsense story, and like a magic ,,,, BAM ,,,, its here.

I never claimed the fundamentals of Heroes was a unique idea. I even stated it was founded on the X-men/superhero stories. There is no point in providing you with minimal plot lines to differentiate it from X-men.

I'm an American and found the show boring. I didn't find myself caring about any of the characters and because of that I didn't care what happened in the show.

While I take back my snarky comment, I will say that not being able to relate to a show because its cultural references aren't relevant to you isn't a very good reason for determining that it sucks.

I looked at that list and blech.

My wife watches CSI but not me.

    You need to add:

    Family Guy
    King of the Hill
    South Park

    The rest is fudge.

    Re: Best TV series..

I like to watch classic movies on TCM (Turner Classic Movies) and AMC (American Movie Classics) I only watch two current shows and there both on Fox on Monday night.

House then 24. I despise reality shows. I do not understand the attraction to American Idol. I used to watch Hill Street Blues, Mash, and Seinfeld.
