The books did focus on the problems of everyday life and mutant powers. The mutants were everyday people before they got their powers, just like Heroes.

Everything Heroes has done was already done in the X-men stories and other superhero stories. Please point out one thing that is unique about Heroes.

I never claimed the fundamentals of Heroes was a unique idea. I even stated it was founded on the X-men/superhero stories. There is no point in providing you with minimal plot lines to differentiate it from X-men.

I watched like 5 episode, found it boring.. I am not American, cant relate with it like I can other American tv series.

I'm an American and found the show boring. I didn't find myself caring about any of the characters and because of that I didn't care what happened in the show.

While I take back my snarky comment, I will say that not being able to relate to a show because its cultural references aren't relevant to you isn't a very good reason for determining that it sucks.

I looked at that list and blech.

My wife watches CSI but not me.

You need to add:

Family Guy
King of the Hill
South Park

The rest is fudge.

I like to watch classic movies on TCM (Turner Classic Movies) and AMC (American Movie Classics) I only watch two current shows and there both on Fox on Monday night.

House then 24. I despise reality shows. I do not understand the attraction to American Idol. I used to watch Hill Street Blues, Mash, and Seinfeld.

It sucked for me.. Weak characters and confusing plot lines, I hated all the characters actually, I didnt find anything specially interesting about the show either, most likely because I couldnt related to the show in any way at all..

Reality shows sucks. Reality channel is puke of puke, the worst of boring.. I had some "friends" who watched that stuff all day long, made me crazy, and completely annoyed at them for liking the same garbage all the time.

TCM however I never acquired a taste for, always had it since I was a child, never watched it, always something better on.

House is horrible...

I mean its the same episode, over and over again with insert sickness here, insert cant figure it out, insert a little doctor drama, insert goofball disease, insert magic cure.

It was good for like 3 episodes.

I love South Park. One of my favorite episodes was on last night:

"Simpsons did it"

"Yeah, I got most of the sea men from a bank, but the rest was from some some guy in an Alley named Ralph. He didn't even charge me, I just had to close my eyes and suck it out of a hose!"

:rofl

Never thought I would like a cartoon? I didn't for very long when I was a kid either.

I used to watch "wait till your father gets home" when I was a kid, loved it.

Favourite all time "shows" (progs on regularly)

Red Dwarf (UK)
Blackadder (UK) [I just can't watch "House" and take Hugh Laurie seriously]
M*A*S*H* (US)- has to be the best show ever but it took time to learn the humour.
Rising Damp (UK)
Play for Today (UK) from when the BBC made truly great drama.
"Till Death Do Us Part" (UK) - I believe there was a US version called "Archie Bunker?"

Out of the list posted in the Poll, page 1 - I guess "ROME" takes it for me.

Some that will never make it to the USA: still brilliant though.

The Office (UK)
Life on Mars (UK)
Cracker (UK)

That's grounds for putting you on ignore.

I cannot believe people would call Heroes their favorite show. Nothing about it is original and it has favored silliness over storyline. Also, the guys who play Sylar and Peter are the worst actors on television.

Sylar is ****ing awesome, and the best actor in that show. Holy ****ing ****.

This is also grounds for being put on ignore. Don't **** with Sylar. Or Dr. House. Or Sawyer. Just.... don't.

Didn't we already have Quincy?

I am stoked Sylar is bad again. He's great as a bad guy.
I wholeheartedly agree. But it was amazing to see him go from bad to good to bad, and all with simple facial expressions. I mean... that's all it took. An expression on his face and you KNEW that something "switched" inside. Zachary Quinto is amazing, IMO. I loved Sylar as a bad guy, but totally bought the good guy thing. Then totally was able to see the switch back to bad, and LOVED it of course. ;)

I want to see Star Trek because of him. I mean, I like Star Trek and all, but the fact that he is playing Spock makes me actually anxious to go see it.

However, I think he is destined for "bad guy" roles, because he does it so fricken well.

THE BIG BANG!
Mythbusters
Hell's kitchen
Heroes
Grays Anatomy (they are however running out of **** buddy combos)
and I am in the
Wild Wild West and Quincy crowd

Coupling in the UK was a hilarious show. To bad it only lasted 4 seasons. I still catch it on BBC America every once in awhile.
