Obama's lies about lobbyists: OK?

Are you Ok with The Obama lying about not having lobbyist in his administration?

I don't know if I'd say it's ok, it's just that I didn't expect anything different than what happened.

I will say if I voted for him, I wouldn't find this "okay".

I will also say I don't know if this is an outright lie. As i said in anothe thread, its at best poor judgement on his part to make the claim previously and at worst just an out and out lie.

However I'll be interested to see those that held Bush to such high standards of what a "lie" say about this.

He will lie and get by with it for quite a while. It's like a love affair. You can lie to your lover at first and get by with it for a while even when they know you are lying because the newness hasn't worn off. When the glow and lovey dovey wear off then the lies will begin to get old and Obama's supporters will turn on him and get a divorce. They will soon find out he's not the Messiah they thought he was. A lot of young people were involved in politics for the first time. They are going to be a lot of young people who will be disallusioned.

He's young and made many bold promises. It's probably more beneficial that things not change drastically in the middle of an economic crisis. So it urks me that he lied, but we all know everything he said was too good to be true.
^^^^^^^
Bigoted partisanship at its finest!
:applaud

Typical political bull****. Change we can beleive in, but only if we suspend disbelief. ;)

It is a lie. It's not OK. I'd like to hear his rationalization. I'll bet it's the old "you can't walk on a beach and not step on sand" excuse.

Honesty doesn't go far here I suppose.
Tell us what you think when a Republican lies.
If you want, you can quote yourself from your posts on this board.

Lets try some more, you're a dick Goobieman.
aww.... puddy have his feewings hurt by the truth?

I would like to know what the lie is before I would comment. You don't really think its that simple, do you? (Democrat: OK Republican: Bad)

I find it highly ironic that you're calling me a bigoted partisan, since that is precisely how majority of this forum would label you.

You mean you didnt read the OP?
And you voted in the poll/posted a comment anyway?

So far, that's the case you're making.

You're walking the walk and talking the talk... what else would you be called?

The OP is about Obama, you proposed a hypothetical about a Republican. Either you really can't comprehend what I said or you're deliberately twisting it.

You weren't clear.

-You- get to pick the lie.

No I’m not upset, I knew this was “change” only some could believe in. Don’t count me amongst them.;)

Obama is a lying slut.

Same lie republican president, its not the end of the world if lobbyists get positions in the administration. Some lies are expected during the campaigning for various reasons. This is why I hate the partisan forum, its just a bunch crap flinging, there's no room for engaging conversation. If this wasn't a poll that's exactly where this thread would be.

What is wrong with this thread? It's calling out hypocricy. It's the same thing Democrats do to Republicans when a Republican who is against gay marriage is caught soliciting blowjobs in an airport bathroom or a talk radio host who is against drugs is caught with over 9000 oxycontin. Only in this case it is a Democrat who is against lobbyists hiring lobbyists.

So you're saying if the position was switched...if McCain made a campaign ad specifically targetting Obama having lobbyists on his campaign team, stating that he's going to be a change from politics as usual, that he won't have any lobbyists in his campaign....and then within the first 2 weeks of being President plays politics as usual and goes back on a, at least somewhat major (it was major enough for them to put out a campaign TV ad about it) issue, by putting lobbyists into power.

You'd go "Meh, no biggy, lets see how they do?"

Please, try to be honest.
If McCain had done this, you'd be among those howling the loudest.

Isn't Palin in Washington to get some stimulus money right now?

Actually, scratch that, I'm sorry...

He dedicated TWO ads at least to it:

First

Second

Seems the Obama campaign said lobbyists in the white house was "more of the same". That the use of lobbyists showed you weren't really a "reformer". So much for a change in Politics as Usual.

Why is this an issue? Its not just that he lied. Its counter to EVERYTHING his campaign was run on. It was ran on Hope. Hope for what? Hope for change...yet by Obama's own definition this isn't change, its more of the same. Hope for no more Politics as usual...yet by obama's own definition this isn't change, its more of the same. He ran that it was to clean up the image of government, yet already he's being at least dishonest....that's not change, its more of the same.

The reason this is significant is because its a CLEAR example of his campaign being nothing but...well...Politics as Usual.

You obviously don't read many of my posts. I don't think I've ever attacked a republican candidate on something like this. Again, its clear I don't belong in the partisan forum, so continue on with your "messiahs" and "partisan bigotry". I'm done.

Who here is surprised?
