Was Israel wrong for killing innocent palestinian civilians? What about Bush? Many called him a warmonger when stories of civilian deaths (collateral damage) at the hands of US military circulated.

Obama is now the Commander in Chief and like Truman said "The buck stops here" So, since Obama is ultimately responsible when civilians die at the hands of our military does that make him a warmonger. It made Bush a warmonger.

Here is a story from today. Yesterday 16 civilians were killed by American forces in Afghanistan including two women and three children according to a statement by Karzai.

Anyway my question for you,

Is Barack Obama a Warmonger? please explain how you came to your answer.

Did Obama start an unnecessary war?

I think it's too soon to tell, but my innate cynicism leads me to believe that in time, his true cowardice will shine through, like a wide, bright, neon yellow line painted down his back. Figuratively speaking, of course.

People who look for something subjective will find it.

Last I knew, Obama was the American Commander-in-Chief, not the Israeli one .
The Palestinians have bought this grief upon themselves by trusting the Hamas.
This is war over there, innocents are killed, when, if ever will people learn this ??
Lest we forget, nearly 3,000 died over here in one attack, all of them innocent...
And there will be more until the Islamic extremists are eliminated..

Another silly poll, which gets no vote.

Yes, he is a warmonger just like Bush. Those people were not bothering us. They were probably having a wedding or some sort of innocent social gathering and then that mean Obongo drops bombs on them for no reason at all. Is there something in the water in the White House? :2razz:

Oh lord.
Warmonger- A person who advocates war policies. He was given a plate-full from the Bush admin scraps. To my knowledge you would be just as frustrated, if not more, if Obama decided not to continue in this trend of bombing people-- I believe the term that would be used is "Coward".
Even though to consider the President of the United States a coward you yourself must be out of your mind, I doubt very many people can go through the challenges these people go through.

It's gonna be fun to watch the double standard unfold as the Obamaites defend him for doing the same thing that they hated Bush for.

This is a case of complaining no matter what he does. One disgruntled conservative is calling him a warmonger while another calls him yellow.

Oh, you mean like when everyone was ripping on Obama for saying that he would chase terrorists into Pakistan until Bush did it? That double standard? How about when a UAV bombed a terrorist in Yemen a few years ago? Please.

If he keeps this sensible approach to the basically human viruses that are bred since early childhood...I may have greater respect for him for his affimative actions.

Being too passive only lets the human viruses multiply until there is no cure...:flame:

Let me see here........

It seems to me that anti-war crowd who served in the military have a name for someone who has never served yet promotes war. Now what was that name again? Oh yeah.

President Obongo is a "chickenhawk".

I believe SgtRock is pointing out the hypocrisy of the anti-war Obama supporters with his post/poll. I could be wrong, but that's what it appears to me.

As for me, my post was just a speculation on future Obama policies. Since he appears to be emulating Clinton in many ways so far, a cowardly run from a difficult fight, a la Mogadishu, is not an unreasonable prediction.

Both my brothers are military officers...if I could go back in time I would join.

I know what he's trying to do. It doesn't work. People support going after Al Qaeda.

What foreign policy of Clinton's is he emulating?

Who said foreign policy? He's selected a bevy of Clinton people to be his advisors and cabinet secretaries. It remains to be seen if he's as cowardly as Clinton, but it's my bet that he is.

Are you now backtracking from that? It's a foreign policy issue that you are making your prediction on after claiming he is emulating Clinton. Having advisors and secretaries doesn't mean he is a carbon copy.

Sec. of Defense Robert Gates. ;)

Is Barak a member of the Council on Foreign Relations?

Thank them for their service from me. I would join you.

I've been called a "chickenhawk" many times of forums because I didn't serve but I support the war against this vile fascist scum. I love pointing out the hypocrisy of the left.

I voted yes. my reasoning is that I respond to bogus, inane questions, with bogus inane answers.

"I choose not to decide therefore have made a choice"

(That's for you Lerxst )

Not bactracking a bit, I gave my own speculation, and that stands. And Gates is a temporary thing.
