What did you think of the inagural address?

What did you think of Obama's address speech?

Me personally, there were some parts where I was like "**** yeah", and other parts where I was like "good luck with that".

Overall it was a speech designed to unite. He kind of gave everybody a little bit of what they wanted to hear. It was well delivered, but I think it remains to be seen just how much of what he talks about can be accomplished, if at all.

I think president Obama spoke very well.

    It was nice.

But I just hope he doesn't follow through with some of his campaign promises (like taxing some people....during a recession) hopefully his experienced and bright advisers will convince him otherwise.

And God help us if Obama leaves his guard down. He made some naive statements.

I'm fine with the inaugural address, but I'm not so sure about the "Oath" he just took, he so mangled it. I'm not so sure that he was actually sworn in. I'm still recording so I can't play it back as of yet, but there will be replays during the day. The feeling I got was that he was so self conscious that he got in front of himself a wee bit, stepping on his own lines. Chief Justice Roberts tried to help him out but that didn't work out so well either.

I can only imagine the uproar of ridicule if GWB had done that.

I apologize; Judge Roberts definitely made an error in the second line of the oath and Obama halted to give him a chance to correct himself. If I were Roberts I'd be kicking myself royally.

    It lacked substance.

Meh. I've been hearing flowery speeches from that guy for over a year now and I am kinda desensitized to the whole "I've beeeeeen to the top of the mountain...Can I get a witness" approach he has. I want to see him do something now.

Why are people so damn hard-hearted ?
