Read the commission report. Then tell me that no one saw it coming.

Remember something about Ralph Nader having an idea already in the 80's to put in reinforced doors in the planes, but the airlines though it was to expensive. Don't know if it's true but such simple idea could maybe have stopped the terrorist from using planes as weapons.

These guys weren't breaking any laws. I don't know why we would have stopped them from getting on those planes. You need a reason, ya know. And it wasn't like slamming planes full of passengers into skyscrapers was a common occurrence. Naturally with planes you think of bombs, not box cutters.

Knowing that Al Qaeda is out to get you doesn't give you much to go on.

Because there is a far better chance to smuggle and accumulate large ammounts of anthrax, other germs, etc accross the borders than through a search monitored checkpoint....

    CD
I say once more: the so-called terrorists did not come across the border; they came into this country by the VISA process. The so-called anthrax scare did not come across the border but, from US military labs.
So, I point out the oddity of not correcting the actually pathways that threats have come into this country.

Could we have stopped 911? Sure as hell could have, but why? It was in our best interest to allow it to happen so that we could fight world wide terrorism in their back yard with our military. What would we have gained if we stopped the attack? Nothing.

Of course, stopping 9/11 would have saved lives but, this world-wide terrorism is a boogieman used by the people in the US who want to use our military to conquer the world. Terrorism is simply blowback for the black-opts type of dealings our CIA, etc have done behind our backs.

Depends on whether or not you think we can stop a day from happening a not.

9/11 happens once a year, every year.

Of course we could not stop 9/11 from happening, as it was an inside job and the result of a sham election putting "the right people" into office to perpetrate the crime.
